Revenge “Ambush” Recap

This week’s episode starts out with a little teaser of Victoria’s (Madeline Stowe) possible demise then flashes back 20 hours to see Emily (Emily VanCamp) breaking into the beach house in search of evidence. She is desperately trying to find out what happened to her father over the past 12 years.

Daniel (Josh Bowman) is feeling nostalgic and looking at old pictures from his wedding with Emily. He’s with Margaux (Karine Vanesse) now and concerned that she is spending too much time with crazy Louise (Elena Satine). Margaux wore a Herve Leger Printed Jacquard Sheath Dress ($1,740). I found this similar Line Jacquard Cap-Sleeve Dress ($69.50):

herve leger jacquard

Daniel pays a visit to Victoria to finally confront her about Emily being Amanda. It’s funny that everyone finally knows the truth. Daniel is taking it much better than I thought he would. He makes a good point about keeping David (James Tupper) in the dark.

David goes to see Emily without knowing who she really is. I can’t get over why she doesn’t just tell him the truth. It is sort of annoying. She gives him a little tidbit about Amanda’s baby shower which makes him question Victoria’s motives.

In other news, Margaux and Louise play tennis at the club and hit the sauna. All is going well until crazy Louise hallucinates her mother and decides to lock Margaux in the sauna and turn up the heat.

Victoria meets with an old friend who ended up buying most of her things at auction. The real reason Victoria met with her was to retrieve a necklace that I can only assume has some sort of sentimental value. Victoria stuns in a sold out Michael Kors Cobalt Cap Sleeve Dress. This Ralph Lauren Faux Wrap Jersey Dress ($134)  is a great match:

Michael Kors wrap dress

Two of my favorite scenes from the entire series happen next! The first, with Emily and Daniel. They finally have a real conversation and I think he finally understands and appreciates Amanda for who she is. That was about four years in the making. The second was Victoria in the strip club. I never would have pictured her in there, but seeing her put the necklace in the stripper’s garter was priceless. There are no limits to what she will do to protect herself.

Nolan (Gabriel Mann) finally meets Louise at the club while he is hiding out from the press. She might be one of my favorite new characters. What I would do for her bank account and wardrobe…must be nice! She wore a sold out Donna Karan Canvas Dress. This Tracy Reese Sleeveless Knit Sheath Dress ($298) is similar:

donna karan

Nolan takes Louise’s advice to heart and decides to buy the beach club. In the meantime, Margaux confronts Daniel about Louise and realizes that he slept with her.

Emily finds out that David had been spying on Amanda and is distraught that he never came for her. She finally reveals who she is…THANK GOD! Before they can reconnect Victoria gets struck by lightening ending the episode. Dum Dum Dum! I don’t think Emily/Amanda was too upset by that. She is wearing a sold out Dip Dye Wool-Cashmere Sweater by Vince. This Calvin Klein Dip dye Ombre Soft Cotton Sweater ($79.50) is similar:

vince dip dye

I can’t wait to see how David handles having Amanda back in his life and what will happen next.

Revenge “Damage” Recap

David Clarke (James Tupper) is finally back at the beach house where he belongs. Everyone seems to have mixed feelings about this, especially Victoria (Madeline Stowe). She is nervous for David’s television interview because she has no idea what he is going to say. I loved Victoria’s L’Wren Scott Classic Embroidered Cardigan (sold out) and was surprised by the jeans. I don’t think we’ve ever seen her in jeans before. I found this similar Laura Scott Women’s Embroidered Cardigan ($19.99):

lwren scott

Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) hack into the FBI to try and find out what her father has been through. She wears the Joie Rancher Top in Robin’s Egg ($79) and Arte Designs Peruvian Opal Cuff Bracelet (temporarily sold out). For more size options I found this ASTR Cap Sleeve V-Neck Blouse ($46):

Joie Rancher Top

In the meantime, Charlotte’s (Christa B. Allen) one night stand turns out to be a kidnapper. Much to my surprise, she ends up taking him out while wearing a La Perla Dolce Chemise ($128). This Natori Silky Chemise ($78) is a little more affordable:

la perla

In other news, Margaux (Karine Vanasse) calls Daniel (Josh Bowman) to let him know that his new business relationship with Louise (Elena Satine) is now public knowledge…little does she know that their relationship is more than just business. Margaux wears a Alice + Olivia Briony layered lace tank (sold out) and the Alexander McQueen Leaf Crepe Pencil Skirt (sold out). To recreate this look, I found this Vince Camuto Lace Blouse ($71.40) and this High-Waisted Pencil Skirt ($41.97):

alice and olivia

Enter Victoria to remind Daniel again that she is his mother. She also comes clean about being in a mental institution, but she doesn’t tell him that Emily put her there. This was only to warn him about Louise’s instability. Victoria wears a Cushnie et Ochs Buckled Power Viscose Sheath Dress (sold out). This Let’s Gather Together Dress in Berry ($49.99) is similar:

buckle dress

Louise and Victoria have a weird meeting and we start to see some of Louise’s delusions towards Victoria. Victoria has no interest in a relationship with Louise which is too bad because if loyalty is what Victoria wants Louise would be devout. She is starting to be one of my favorite characters -plus she always looks fabulous this time in a sold out floral print Dolce & Gabbana dress. This INC International Concepts Cap-Sleeve Floral-Print Sheath Dress ($129.50) is a great look for less:

dolce and gabbana

In a surprising move, David decides to blast Nolan on live TV instead of Victoria. I feel like they were sort of jumping the shark here. At that point I would have just told him that Emily is Amanda, Amanda is Emily to clear my name. Victoria wore a sold out Roland Mouret Brownlow stretch-crepe dress. This Adrianna Papell Asymmetric Waist Stretch Crepe Sheath Dress ($98) is similar:

roland mouret

Things worked out swimmingly for Margaux as she got a killer interview. She wore a sold out Diane von Furstenberg
‘Jezebel’ Silk Blouse and Abstract Black Spinel Earrings from Arte Designs ($68).

DVF

I was so happy when Charlotte finally called Victoria out and decided to leave to go to rehab. This is probably the smartest thing she’s ever done on this show. Charlotte looks sophisticated in the sold out Roland Mouret Abbotsford Dress. This Marc New York by Andrew Marc Square Neck Sleeveless Sheath Dress ($74.99) is a good match:

roland mouret green

Before Charlotte leaves she stops to tell Daniel the truth about Emily. As she is in the car on her way out of town she discovers a mysterious letter from Emily in her purse but we don’t get to see what it says. Charlotte wore an Adrianna Papell Ribbon Stripe Strapless Dress ($480). This Felicity & Coco Strapless Stripe Maxi Dress ($88) is similar:

adrianna papell gold ribbon

In the end Emily still doesn’t want to tell David the truth which really annoyed me…I mean come on already – this is getting ridiculous!!

Revenge “Repercussions” Recap

I can’t believe Victoria’s (Madeline Stowe) nerve to take David (James Tupper) to “Amanda’s” grave. How does she think this will end well when he finds out that she knew Amanda (Emily VanCamp) is alive? Victoria wore a Graphic Color Block dress from Karen Millen (sold out). I found two great options to recreate this look, the first a Calvin Klein Color Block Ponte Sheath Dress ($82.99) and the second a Andrew Marc Women’s Sleeveless Color-Block Sheath Dress ($38.40):

karenmillen

Of course Margaux (Karine Vanasse) wants the inside story and is annoyed that after Victoria asked her for money that she isn’t getting the first interview. Margaux is ready for work in an Alexander McQueen Military Cowl Dress in White (sold out). This Bebe Rose Smoke Cowl Neck Dress ($129) is a little different, but I thought it was a similar look that would be appropriate for work.

alexander mcqueen

Daniel (Josh Bowman) asks Margaux to keep their relationship private – he has learned from the past and prefers not to be a public figure. It’s a sweet moment between them as he helps her with her earring. She wore these Sterling Silver and Pearl Linear Drop Earrings from Lord & Taylor ($30).

pearl earrings

Daniel’s top priority right now is to keep Louise (Elena Satine) happy and re-establish his credibility in the business world. Louise is unpredictable and has him meet her during a shopping excursion. This girl looks fabulous all the time and makes and entrance in this Michael Kors Gold Leather-piped Strapless Dress (sold out). I loved this dress and looked hard for something similar. I came up with two options, the first  –  Abstract Embroidered Bodycon Dress from Forever 21 ($27.90) and the second – Simply Liliana Cap-Sleeve Lace Sheath from JCP ($83.99):

michael kors strapless

She goes in for the kill with this Embellished Bandage Gown by Herve Leger (sold out). This Dramatic Bandage Pearl Prom Gown by Terani Couture ($482) is the perfect match:

herve leger

Emily tries to see David at his hotel, but someone makes an attempt on his life. Unfortunately, Victoria has seen to it that only family members can visit David so Emily tries to get in through Charlotte (Christa B. Allen). Charlotte is wearing the Lace Bird Jacquard Dress by Alexander McQueen ($897). This Jacquard Cap-Sleeve Dress from Line ($55.60) is the perfect look for less:

alexander mcqueen city bird

Charlotte’s loyalties are sketchy at best and just when you think she is going to side with Emily, she switches back to Victoria instead. Emily wears Stella McCartney Straight Leg Pants ($297.98) and Arte Designs Blue Topaz Link Earrings ($82). To recreate the look, I found this Pleione Mixed Media Tunic ($58) and the Perfect Form Mini Bootcut Pant from White House Black Market ($88):

stella mccartney

On the other side of town, Daniel finally gives in to Louise’s seduction. It wasn’t that difficult  – he was an easy mark. Too bad for Margaux who was way out of his league. Louise wore a Herve Leger Bateau Neck Dress (sold out). This Rachel Pally Sylvia Dress ($84.99) is a great match:

herve leger batau

I don’t understand why no one tells David that Amanda is still alive or that Amanda is Emily! I guess that would ruin the fun – but seriously it is driving me nuts! Emily looks for a way to connect with David away from Victoria, so she strikes a deal with Margaux. Emily wore a Fluted Hem Dress by Armani (sold out). I found a few options to recreate this look. The first, a Short Sleeve Fluted Bodycon Dress from Charlotte Russe ($26.99) and the second, a Susana Monaco Edina Scoop Back Dress ($74.99):

armani

Margaux is a businesswoman at heart, she doesn’t get too involved in these power plays but her loyalty always lies with the business. She struck a deal in a chartreuse sheath. I found this Calvin Klein Cutout Sheath Dress ($98) and this Ellen Tracy Short-Sleeve Pleat-Waist Sheath ($98) to match:

chartreuse

Margaux uses this is a way to help Daniel reinstate his good standing in the community. Victoria is none too happy when Daniel presents David with the deed to his old beach house. Victoria wore a Crocheted and stretch-knit peplum dress from Oscar de la Renta ($864). Modcloth has a few options to match this look, the first a Damask Masquerade Dress ($89.99), the second, a Captivate the Crowd Dress ($169.99), the third, a Penchant for Posh Dress ($109.99).

oscar de la renta

Emily discovers that Margaux is in bed with Daniel, which means she isn’t a true ally. Margaux wore an Embellished Woven and Cotton-Tweed Dress by Jason Wu (sold out). I chose this Ellen Tracy Sleeveless Floral-Sequin Sheath ($101.99) as a look for less. It comes in black or white.

jason wu

Louise discovers that Daniel is really involved with Margaux and confronts him about it. They agree to remain friends and business partners, that is until Louise calls Page Six with an anonymous tip. She wore a sexy graphic print strapless dress. I found this WOW Couture Dress ($49.72) as a look for less:

strapless

So once David finally gets in the house, he is reminded of Amanda and plays a song they used to dance to. Was anyone else yelling at the TV that this was her moment to tell him? He was alone and thinking of her! The writers tried to play it off like she needed more time, but I think this was really dumb. They were just trying to keep the secret/plot going and I think that they might have jumped the shark a little bit here.

In other news, Charlotte is getting back to her partying ways. I really don’t understand this girl. She wore a sequin sheath to the club. The style is a little different, but I think this Adrianna Papell Illusion Yoke Beaded Sheath Dress ($258) had s similar silhouette:

sequin sheath

Revenge “Meteor” Recap

Emily (Emily VanCamp) kicks off her near death experience this week by throwing on her trusted Vince Thermal Zip Front Hoodie ($395). ThisPaperwhite Open Knit Cardigan Sweater ($39.95) is similar:

vince thermal 3

Victoria (Madeline Stowe) comes back to the house only to find out that David (James Tupper) didn’t watch Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) but went off to try to kill Emily Thorne, of which he failed at. Victoria wore a Michael Kors Double-Face Stretch Sheath Dress (sold out). This XOXO Juniors’ Sleeveless Belted Sheath Dress ($39.98) is similar:

Michael Kors sheath dress

Margaux (Karine Vanasse) informs Daniel (Josh Bowman) that she gave his mother a loan so she would owe her a favor. Margaux wears a Narciso Rodriguez Pebble Crepe Dress (sold out). I went a little overboard with this look for less and found a few options. They include GB Colorblock Shift Dress ($35.40), Elie Tahari Rosario Dress ($159.99), and Anne Klein Asymetric Wrap Crepe Jersey Dress ($40.99):

narcisso

Ben (Brian Hallisay) identified a suspect for Emily’s break-in who just happened to be her father…alive! I get goosebumps every time I watch that part. The ultimate buildup and nobody can say anything, she can’t react. Emily wore a Club Monaco Isabelle Trench Coat (sold out), VINCE Light blue cashmere jumper (£265), Mabel Chong Blue Moon Earrings ($65) and the Dogeared Healing Gem Briolette Necklace ($52). To recreate the look I found this Via Spiga Women’s Single-Breasted Belted Trench Coat ($96) and this H&M Cashmere Sweater ($79.95):

club monaco

Louise (Elena Satine) is up next, working whatever her angle is on Victoria and Daniel. With her assets it is inevitable that Daniel will eventually fall victim to her charms. She wore a Vix Bia D-Cup Halter Swim Top & Low-Rise Bottom ($92 for the top and $92 for the bottom). Victoria’s Secret provides a look for less with the Forever Halter ($39.50) and Bikini ($28.50):

bikini

Louise continues her seduction by visiting Daniel in his penthouse wearing a sexy strapless dress. I found this Pattern Lace Party Dresses from Hailey by Adrianna Papell ($119) to recreate her look.

adrianna papell

Back at the police station, Victoria takes charge of the situation with a press conference that has David standing beside Charlotte and herself. No Amanda to be seen. I thought this part was really low. Not to mention the fact that Victoria killed Emily’s fiance, now she didn’t even tell her father that she is alive. I don’t feel sorry for her at all, she deserves everything Emily has coming for her.

What did you think of the this week’s episode? How will Emily reveal herself to David?

Revenge “Ashes” Recap

Jack (Nick Wechsler) saves the day and rescues Emily (Emily VanCamp) from the fire. I wasn’t that excited about the fashion this week, but there was a lot of drama packed into this episode!

Victoria (Madeline Stowe) emerges from the abyss and tries to find a way to get some money. On her journey, she runs into Daniel (Josh Bowman) who tells her off and then Louise (Elena Satine) from Clairmont hunts her down for a very odd reunion. Louise wears a sexy green dress that looks like it could be Gucci. I found a few alternatives to recreate the look. The first is Tart’s infinity stretch-modal convertible dress ($114.40) and the second is this Amanda Uprichard Malibu Dress ($86.99):

green dress

Jack decides to confront Emily about what really caused the fire and is desperate to find out why Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) is involved. Emily still wants to defend Charlotte, but Jack wants to turn her in. Emily wore a Vince blouse ($98) that you can find here or here and Arte Designs Green Amethyst Earrings ($85). This Vince Camuto Center Pleat Sleeveless Blouse ($69) is similar:

vince blouse

Victoria finds Charlotte and reveals that David (James Tupper) is alive and brings her to meet him. They have a touching reunion until Victoria starts twisting it into part of her Emily revenge scheme. Emily pays them a visit, but Victoria greets her with a shotgun. She is terrified that Emily will see that David is alive. Emily knows that Victoria is up to something, but she can’t put her finger on it yet.

Jack visits Emily and reminds her of their former friendship. This is the only time you see a touch of the real Emily/Amanda. Emily wore her Vince Thermal Zip Front Hoodie ($395) again. This Paperwhite Open Knit Cardigan Sweater ($39.95) is similar:

vince thermal 2

Jack decides that he is not going to reconstruct the stowaway and spend more time with his family. It was at that moment I thought maybe he could reach Emily.

Victoria reaches out to Margaux (Karine Vanasse) who gives her a “loan” which will help get her back on her feet.

David pays Emily a visit in the middle of the night to presumably kill her, but Nolan (Gabriel Mann) interrupts him before he can make a big mistake.

What did you think of the this week’s episode? When is Emily going to figure out that her father is alive?!

If you missed it, you can purchase it on iTunes.

Revenge “Disclosure” Recap

Victoria (Madeline Stowe) and David Clarke (James Tupper) had a touching reunion, that is until he strangled her and transported her to an unknown location. So far, David remains a mystery.

Emily (Emily VanCamp) is in her element again, erasing an trace of Victoria’s stay at the mental institution and convincing Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to help track her down. She wears a Stella McCartney Long Blazer (sold out), the Isaac Silk Tank Top by Theory ($235), Arte Designs Infinity Labradorite Earrings ($68), Ippolita Quartz-Station Necklace ($795) and the Manolo Blahnik BB Patent Nude Pump ($595):

theory

To recreate this look I found this Mural Slouchy Boyfriend Blazer ($74), Soft Chiffon Tank from Forever 21 ($7.80), Kate Spade Opening Night Station Necklace ($128) and this Steve Madden Insaniti Half d’Orsay Pump ($99.95):

steve madden

After Nolan’s tip to Margaux (Karine Vanasse), she and Daniel (Josh Bowman) have been scheming to get Gideon (Daniel Zovatto) away from Charlotte (Christa B. Allen). Margaux wore a Rag & Bone Franklin Cutout-Yoke Crepe Top ($96) with a green skirt. This T. Tahari Lila Blouse ($37.80) is similar:

rag and bone

They may not need to worry after Charlotte discovers that Gideon is just using her and laughing at her behind her back. She wore a Haute Hippie Ruffle Front Crossover Dress ($386). This Felicity & Coco Ruffled Faux Wrap Maxi Dress ($46.80) is similar:

haute hippie2

This was the last straw for Charlotte, who decides she is going to jump off a building until Jack’s (Nick Wechsler) new partner saves her. You get a good glimpse of her Gianvito Rossi Suede Lace Up Sandals ($1,100). These Aldo Cezarine pumps ($79.98) are similar:

gianvito rossi

Jack takes Charlotte to Emily’s house so she can finally reveal her true identity. Charlotte’s cardigan is the Layla Pointelle Wrap from BCBGMaxAzria ($93.80). This Textured Stripe Open Knit Cocoon Duster Cardigan from Charlotte Russe ($25.99) is similar:

maxazria

This doesn’t seem to make a difference to Charlotte – it just angers her further. Emily wore a Vince Thermal Zip Front Hoodie ($395). This Paperwhite Open Knit Cardigan Sweater ($39.95) is similar:

vince thermal

She decides to kill Emily by hitting her in the head with a fire extinguisher and setting the stowaway on fire. Be careful what you wish for Emily…

Margaux and Daniel successfully remove Gideon from the business which I didn’t feel too bad about because he was a drug addict and a jerk.

What did you think of the this week’s episode? Will Emily make it out alive?

If you missed it, you can still watch it here.

Revenge “Renaissance” Recap

I couldn’t wait for Revenge to start this season. I love how dramatic everything is down to the last detail. Especially the costumes, it really just ups the drama. As the episode opens we see Emily (Emily VanCamp) take her place as queen of the Hamptons, while Victoria (Madeline Stowe) is relegated to a psychiatric hospital. Emily’s sweeping white dress is the Jaelyn Crossover-Top Cutout Gown by Alice + Olivia ($193.60) or here for $485. This ASOS Pleated Cross Front Maxi ($85.28) is a perfect match:

white maxi

Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Emily are gearing up for a Memorial Day weekend party, their first at the manor. Nolan is asking the same question the rest of us are…what will Emily do next? Emily looks Hamptons chic with a Rag & Bone The Simple Tank (sold-out), Vince Rolled Boyfriend Pants ($195), Manolo Blahnik BB Pointy Toe Pump ($595) and Stella & Dot Aria Pendant Necklace ($98).

hamptons chic

To recreate this look, I decided on this DKNYC Lightweight Jersey Sleeveless Top w/ Diagonal Chiffon Overlay ($26.99), Jones New York Signature Cropped Capri Pants ($36.99), and these Badgley Mischka Women’s Kat Dress Pumps ($78.82):

recreation

Later on in the city, Emily gets in a little fender bender with someone in town, who we will eventually come to know as Nancy (Alicia Lagano). In town, Emily throws on a Boy by Band of Outsiders Blazer (sold out). This Banana Republic Navy Lightweight Wool Two-Button Suit Blazer ($198) is similar:

blazer

At the Memorial Day party, Emily and Nolan are christening a new boat for one of the Hampton’s elite couples. As they discuss the event, Emily wears a Parker Cosmopolitan Strapless Bustier Maxi Dress (sold out). This Amanda Uprichard Mimosa Strapless Pleated Maxi Dress ($92) is a great match:

parker

You can get a good look in this shot of Emily’s Vince Multi-Bar Hinge Bracelet ($68):

vince bracelet

Jack (Nick Wechsler) visits Emily after Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) scares him by picking little Carl up from daycare. Emily reassures him that the reason she stayed in the Hamptons was to make amends with Charlotte. Emily stays casual at home with this Joie Nasa B Tee ($55.20). Since that is almost sold out, this Lucky Brand Women’s Embroidered Tee ($14.85) is similar:

joie

With that lead in, we check in on Charlotte and Daniel (Josh Bowman) and learn that they think Victoria has abandoned them. Emily must be sending them postcards from random places. They have no idea she’s been locked away in an institution. Charlotte wears a Muscle Dress from Haute Hippie ($325). I liked this LAmade Tie Dye Maxi Dress ($44.99) for a look for less:

haute hippie

Emily is taking in the view in Victoria’s old spot, when she sees something moving in her old beach house. It doesn’t seem like she’s been back there since Aiden was murdered. She wears an awesome Dip Dye wool-cashmere sweater by Vince ($328). This Victoria’s Secret Ombre Sweater ($39.99) is similar:

vince

Emily’s party kicks off and is full of drama. Jack brings his new partner with him to the partner and they immediately stumble upon Charlotte doing coke. Jack’s partner wants to arrest her, but Jack convinces him to give her a pass because she’s in a bad place. Charlotte wore a Valentino Strapless Floral Lace Dress (sold out). The color is a little different, but I think this Gabriella Rocha Lorene Dress ($69) is a similar style:

valentino

Meanwhile, back at the looney bin, Victoria launches an elaborate escape. It seemed a little far fetched, I mean how far was she going to get on foot? In true Victoria form, she has found a way to look fabulous while doing it in an Escada Crossover Bodice Dress ($1050) and Carolee 40th Anniversary Legacy Collection Earrings ($32). I thought this NY Collection B-Slim Faux-Wrap Dress ($34.99) was a great match:

escada

Back at the party, we learn what Emily is really up to. She can’t let go of revenge, even if its not for herself. At the party she wears a beautiful Carolina Herrera Floral Jacquard Full-Skirt Dress (sold out) and Tamara Mellon Heaven patent-leather pumps (sold out). This dress is such a show stopper that it took me a while to find a suitable alternative, but I found one with this ASOS Vintage Midi Bardot Dress ($161.08) and these Nine West Caress Round Toe High Heels ($79):

carolina herrera

Nolan gives Margaux LeMarchal (Karine Vanasse) a tip about why Daniel left the magazine and she finds out that her brother Gideon (Daniel Zovatto) is blackmailing him for control of the company. She looks powerful in her new role as CEO in a yellow and black triangle print dress. I thought this Tiana B. Cap-Sleeve Two-Tone Belted Dress ($39.99) was a great match:

victoria beckham

Instead of planning her next move, Victoria goes straight to the manor to confront Emily. As she is leaving, David Clarke (James Tupper) chloroforms her!!!

What did you think of the premiere? Will all of Emily’s carefully laid revenge plans go up in smoke?

If you missed the premiere of Revenge, you can still watch it here.

Fall TV Preview

Fall TV sort of snuck up on me, I am still knee deep finishing up Summer TV, but I figured I better get my Fall picks up as we are starting premieres this week. For those of you following my Summer shows, don’t worry, I will still finish them up and I am only going to recap a handful for Fall so I can keep up with them.

September 13

Kendra on Top (WE)

Kendra is one of my guilty pleasures. I am actually watching the first episode as I’m writing this post. This season looks like it will be interesting as Kendra struggles with being Kendra the Playmate and Kendra the wife and mom. Here is a preview of the season:

September 16

Bones (FOX)

I love me some David Boreanaz! Last season was heartbreaking as we watched Bones (Emily Deschanel) finally propose to Booth, only to have him turn her down because of a threat from the serial killer, Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds). I am excited for this season because Freddie Prinze Jr. will be coming on as a guest star.

Dancing with the Stars (ABC)

This kicked off tonight but I haven’t watched it yet. I have to be honest, I love DWTS, but I barely ever watch it in realtime. It does make me want to take John to dancing lessons. If you can get your husband to watch the show with you, you could try The Dating Diva’s Dancing with the Stars Date Night.

DWTS

For Season 17, I am most excited to watch Elizabeth Berkley and Leah Remini. It’s always a great show.

September 23

How I Met Your Mother (CBS)

We now know that this will be the final season of HIMYM. While I am sad to see it go, I am excited to see how the story ends – there better be a big payoff at the end. In the final scene of last season’s finale we got to meet the mother, Cristin Milioti. We left Robin (Cobie Smulders) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) about to get married, with Ted (Josh Radnor) digging up Robin’s locket and once again these two still have unresolved feelings towards each other. Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel) are about to leave for Italy, but Marshall has accepted a judgeship without telling her. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Castle (ABC)

Castle (Nathan Fillion) finally proposed to Beckett (Stana Katic), but she has a hot new job offer in D.C. What will she decide? Where will they live? We just have to wait and find out.

Hostages (CBS)

The preview for this one looked pretty dramatic. It stars Toni Collette as Ellen Sanders and Dylan McDermott as a surgeon and FBI agent who kidnaps her family so she will kill the president during a special operation. This sort of reminds me of Homeland, but I’m not sure how they will sustain it after the surgery is over.

September 24

Chicago Fire (NBC)

My husband and I love to watch Chicago Fire together. When we were in college, John was a part time firefighter and boy did he look hot in his uniform. It’s fun to watch the show with him because he will always give me the inside scoop. Last season ended with Shay (Lauren German) unable to get pregnant with Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) baby, but Renee (Sarah Shahi) coming back pregnant instead. Mills (Charlie Barnett) broke up with Dawson (Monica Raymund) and it looks like he might join the police force. Dawson revealed her feelings for Casey (Jesse Spencer) who is still grief-stricken about his girlfriend/fiance’s death.

Person of Interest (CBS)

This is another show my husband and I watch together. We are suckers for anything from J.J. Abrams. The machine is missing and Root (Amy Acker) has lost her mind about it. Just another day on the job for Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson). Now Samantha (Sarah Shahi) is joining the team to hopefully serve as a love interest for Reese.

September 25

Revolution (NBC)

This is another show that I watch with my husband. If you haven’t noticed a theme we like sci-fi and action shows. I was going to recap last season, but I found a great promo that pretty much sums it up:

September 26

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)

It seems like forever since I watched the finale last season so details are sort of fuzzy. Here’s what I can remember: There was a big storm and the power went out. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) had their baby, but Bailey (Chandra Wilson) had to come in at the end to save Meredith. April (Sarah Drew) got engaged to Matthew, but she is still in love with Avery (Jesse Williams). Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) cheated on Callie (Sara Ramirez). Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) finally got together. Christina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) broke up. Richard (James Pickens Jr.) was electrocuted and we don’t know if he made it. Just a few things to look forward to when the season starts up again.

The Crazy Ones (CBS)

Sarah Michelle Gellar…say no more. I can’t wait to watch this show where Robin Williams and SMG place a father/daughter duo running an advertising agency. If this clip doesn’t sell it to you then there might be something wrong with you. FANTASTIC! I will definitely be covering this show.

September 29

The Good Wife (CBS)

I love Julianna Margulies in this show, she has fantastic clothes and lays the smackdown in court. Season 4 left us on a cliffhanger. It looks like Alicia will be joining Cary (Matt Czuchry) in starting their own firm. Peter (Chris Noth) won the gubenatorial election but his campaign left us questioning how ethical it was. Alicia is still trying to decide between Peter and Will (Josh Charles) – who knows which man she will choose.

Betrayal (ABC)

Betrayal is about a married photographer who has an affair with a married lawyer for a powerful family. The story’s premise is around a murder trial of which both of them are on different sides. It looks interesting so far, so I will give it a few episodes to grow on me.

Homeland (Showtime)

Wow, the season finale of Homeland was nuts! Abu Nazir’s plan was finally executed and just as you think Carrie (Claire Danes) and Brody (Damien Lewis) will finally get a happy ending, Brady gets framed for the entire attack. I have no idea how they can come back from this one.

Revenge (ABC)

Conrad (Henry Czerny) became Governor, Declan (Connor Paolo) was killed, Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) is pregnant, Nolan (Gabriel Mann) is being interrogated by the FBI, Daniel (Josh Bowman) may have killed Aiden (Barry Sloane), Victoria (Madeline Stowe) has a son named Patrick and the most exciting moment of all – Emily (Emily VanCamp) finally revealing to Jack (Nick Wechsler) who she really is. I can’t wait to see how he will react.

October 3

Scandal (ABC)

Last season’s Scandal ended with a lot of surprises! Olivia (Kerry Washington) found out that the head of B613, Rowan (Joe Morton) is her father and he gave the copy of her sex tape with Jake (Scott Foley) to Cyrus (Jeff Perry). Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) finally comes aboard the Defiance train. Olivia finds out that Fitz murdered Verna. Quinn (Katie Lowes) is going down a very dark path when she tortures Billy Chambers (Matt Letscher) when Huck (Guillermo Diaz) couldn’t do it. The public finally learns that Olivia is the president’s mistress, but Mellie (Bellamy Young) decides to take him back after Olivia breaks up with him again. Jake got thrown into the same pit that Huck did. Who knows what will happen this season?! I did hear that Lisa Kudrow will be guest starring.

The Vampire Diaries (CW)

The cure went to…Katherine, not Elena (Nina Dobrev) like we all thought. Stefan (Paul Wesley) was buried alive by Silas, who assumed his identity. Elena finally admitted that she is in love with Damon (Ian Somerholder). Bonnie (Katerina Graham) died saving Jeremy, who is back. Rebekah (Claire Holt) gets to travel the world with Matt (Zach Roerig). Klaus (Joseph Morgan) gave Tyler (Michael Trevino) permission to come back to Mystic Falls for Caroline (Candice Accola) and he is off to star in The Originals spin-off.

If you’ve never watched the show before, this trailer pretty much sums up the series…wow:

The Originals (CW)

The Vampire Diaries spin-off features Klaus, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah as they move to New Orleans to reclaim the city they built. We learned last season that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is pregnant with Klaus’ baby which prompted him to stay. I’m not sure how this show will go, but the trailer looks okay, but I’m pretty much only watching it because it’s a spin-off.

October 6

Witches of East End (Lifetime)

I’m a sucker for fantasy shows (can you sense a theme yet?) and this is the newest one to throw it’s hat into the ring. This is based on a book about a witch who is doomed to relive the deaths of her daughters forever. It stars Julia Ormand, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Madchen Amick to name a few familiar faces. The trailer doesn’t give me a lot to go on, so only time will tell.

October 9

Arrow (CW)

Last season Tommy died…that’s about it. I’m 50/50 on this show. If they wow me this season I could stick with it, but I’m mostly watching for Stephen Amell’s abs.

October 17

White Collar (USA)

White Collar ended the season with Peter (Tim Dekay) getting framed for the murder of Senator Pratt by James (Treat Williams). Who knows how Neil (Matt Bomer) will get us out of this one, but I will enjoy watching.

Reign (CW)

This is a period show about Mary, Queen of Scots that looks pretty interesting. The trailer looks awesome.

October 25

The Carrie Diaries (The CW)

This show totally grew on me last season and I think the second season will be even better. We last left Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) spending a summer in New York with Walt (Brendan Dooling) after Sebastian (Austin Butler) cheated on her with her best friend Maggie (Katie Findlay). I definitely didn’t see that one coming. Maggie outs Walt at the end of the episode and we hear a certain Stanford Blatch referenced. I can’t wait to see how they are going to introduce all of the main characters. We already know that Lindsey Gort will play Samantha Jones.

Grimm (NBC)

We ended the season with Nick (David Guintoli) being paralyzed in a coffin on his way to meet with the royal family. When he arrives he will be under a zombie trance and could be forced to do the royal family’s bidding. This is too bad, because he was so close to finally getting Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) back. I also want to find out what will happen to Adelaide (Claire Coffee), will she get her powers back?

Dracula (NBC)

I love me some vampires and what could be better than the original count. This adaptation will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula and looks like an epic drama that you could really sink your teeth into.

November 4

Almost Human (FOX)

My husband sent me the promo for this show, which looks to be a place where all of us Fringe fans can hang our hats. J.J. Abrams is at it again with a cop drama set in 2048  featuring a human officer partnered with an android. The trailer looks good and hopefully they won’t push this to Friday nights as they seem to do with every other sci-fi show that we like. There’s always more than meets the eye with a J.J. Abrams show so we will see what the underlying mystery really is.

What shows will you be watching this fall? What are you most looking forward to? Let me know if there are other shows you think I should check out and which shows you want me to recap.
