Scandal “The State of the Union” Recap

This episode kicks off with Jake (Scott Foley) and Olivia (Kerry Washington) discussing booty calls, but before they can finish the conversation, she gets a political booty call from Cyrus (Jeff Perry). Cyrus blackmails Olivia into taking on a new case. Her running attire is classic with a Criss-Cross Hope Jacket from Athleta ($118) and Run: Inspire Crop II from Lululemon ($86).

athleta

This week, Olivia is trying to bring together a couple who hates each other. Unfortunately, they are the face of gun control that the president needs at his State of the Union address. She is dressed to handle a challenge in a white Double Breasted Jacket by Giorgio Armani (not available online) with a white Prada Saffiano Cuir Tote ($2,950). The Limited’s Scandal Collection has given us this Double Breasted Jacket ($168) to recreate this look. I liked this Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Saffiano Leather Tote ($298) to replicate her handbag:

armani

The couple’s fighting escalates and Olivia finally convinces them to get a divorce and make this appearance at the State of the Union their last one. She looks powerful in The Limited Tweed Peplum Jacket ($168) and her marble Prada Saffiano Cuir Tote ($2,950). The Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Saffiano Leather Tote ($298) comes in grey which is another perfect look for less:

the limited

I loved Mellie’s (Bellamy Young) dynamic with everyone this week. With Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and the fried chicken and then Abby (Darby Stanchfield) giving her a pep talk. Fitz’s speech was chilling and amazing and him and Mellie were great. I wonder if they will ever get back together…Her dress was red and powerful for the State of the Union. I found this ASOS Wrap Pencil Dress In Crepe ($66.33) to recreate it:

mellie

Olivia finally gives in to a booty call with Jake and wears some very sexy boots which are the Valentino RockStud Boots (sold out). I found these Charlotte Russe Over-the-Knee Belted Chunky Heel Riding Boots ($46.99) if you want to get some sexy boots of your own:

valentino

Cyrus is heading down a slippery slope with his new “friend.” He made the right decision for now, but we will see where he ends up.

The Limited Collection Inspired by Scandal

As far as special collections go, The Limited’s partnership with Scandal and costume designer, Lyn Paolo was at the top of my list. I started covering Scandal on the blog last year and have spent countless hours trying to find Olivia’s looks for less and here The Limited has gone and made my job easier. Last week, they launched a special Scandal Collection, featuring 42 looks that are gladiator worthy.

The Limited Scandal

I can’t stress this enough, if it is sold out you can still get it on eBay. I end up getting most of my special collection items there, so don’t be afraid. Here are my favorite Scandal Collection items…and yes I will be buying them.

Revenge “Renaissance” Recap

I couldn’t wait for Revenge to start this season. I love how dramatic everything is down to the last detail. Especially the costumes, it really just ups the drama. As the episode opens we see Emily (Emily VanCamp) take her place as queen of the Hamptons, while Victoria (Madeline Stowe) is relegated to a psychiatric hospital. Emily’s sweeping white dress is the Jaelyn Crossover-Top Cutout Gown by Alice + Olivia ($193.60) or here for $485. This ASOS Pleated Cross Front Maxi ($85.28) is a perfect match:

white maxi

Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Emily are gearing up for a Memorial Day weekend party, their first at the manor. Nolan is asking the same question the rest of us are…what will Emily do next? Emily looks Hamptons chic with a Rag & Bone The Simple Tank (sold-out), Vince Rolled Boyfriend Pants ($195), Manolo Blahnik BB Pointy Toe Pump ($595) and Stella & Dot Aria Pendant Necklace ($98).

hamptons chic

To recreate this look, I decided on this DKNYC Lightweight Jersey Sleeveless Top w/ Diagonal Chiffon Overlay ($26.99), Jones New York Signature Cropped Capri Pants ($36.99), and these Badgley Mischka Women’s Kat Dress Pumps ($78.82):

recreation

Later on in the city, Emily gets in a little fender bender with someone in town, who we will eventually come to know as Nancy (Alicia Lagano). In town, Emily throws on a Boy by Band of Outsiders Blazer (sold out). This Banana Republic Navy Lightweight Wool Two-Button Suit Blazer ($198) is similar:

blazer

At the Memorial Day party, Emily and Nolan are christening a new boat for one of the Hampton’s elite couples. As they discuss the event, Emily wears a Parker Cosmopolitan Strapless Bustier Maxi Dress (sold out). This Amanda Uprichard Mimosa Strapless Pleated Maxi Dress ($92) is a great match:

parker

You can get a good look in this shot of Emily’s Vince Multi-Bar Hinge Bracelet ($68):

vince bracelet

Jack (Nick Wechsler) visits Emily after Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) scares him by picking little Carl up from daycare. Emily reassures him that the reason she stayed in the Hamptons was to make amends with Charlotte. Emily stays casual at home with this Joie Nasa B Tee ($55.20). Since that is almost sold out, this Lucky Brand Women’s Embroidered Tee ($14.85) is similar:

joie

With that lead in, we check in on Charlotte and Daniel (Josh Bowman) and learn that they think Victoria has abandoned them. Emily must be sending them postcards from random places. They have no idea she’s been locked away in an institution. Charlotte wears a Muscle Dress from Haute Hippie ($325). I liked this LAmade Tie Dye Maxi Dress ($44.99) for a look for less:

haute hippie

Emily is taking in the view in Victoria’s old spot, when she sees something moving in her old beach house. It doesn’t seem like she’s been back there since Aiden was murdered. She wears an awesome Dip Dye wool-cashmere sweater by Vince ($328). This Victoria’s Secret Ombre Sweater ($39.99) is similar:

vince

Emily’s party kicks off and is full of drama. Jack brings his new partner with him to the partner and they immediately stumble upon Charlotte doing coke. Jack’s partner wants to arrest her, but Jack convinces him to give her a pass because she’s in a bad place. Charlotte wore a Valentino Strapless Floral Lace Dress (sold out). The color is a little different, but I think this Gabriella Rocha Lorene Dress ($69) is a similar style:

valentino

Meanwhile, back at the looney bin, Victoria launches an elaborate escape. It seemed a little far fetched, I mean how far was she going to get on foot? In true Victoria form, she has found a way to look fabulous while doing it in an Escada Crossover Bodice Dress ($1050) and Carolee 40th Anniversary Legacy Collection Earrings ($32). I thought this NY Collection B-Slim Faux-Wrap Dress ($34.99) was a great match:

escada

Back at the party, we learn what Emily is really up to. She can’t let go of revenge, even if its not for herself. At the party she wears a beautiful Carolina Herrera Floral Jacquard Full-Skirt Dress (sold out) and Tamara Mellon Heaven patent-leather pumps (sold out). This dress is such a show stopper that it took me a while to find a suitable alternative, but I found one with this ASOS Vintage Midi Bardot Dress ($161.08) and these Nine West Caress Round Toe High Heels ($79):

carolina herrera

Nolan gives Margaux LeMarchal (Karine Vanasse) a tip about why Daniel left the magazine and she finds out that her brother Gideon (Daniel Zovatto) is blackmailing him for control of the company. She looks powerful in her new role as CEO in a yellow and black triangle print dress. I thought this Tiana B. Cap-Sleeve Two-Tone Belted Dress ($39.99) was a great match:

victoria beckham

Instead of planning her next move, Victoria goes straight to the manor to confront Emily. As she is leaving, David Clarke (James Tupper) chloroforms her!!!

What did you think of the premiere? Will all of Emily’s carefully laid revenge plans go up in smoke?

If you missed the premiere of Revenge, you can still watch it here.

The Good Wife “Trust Issues” Recap

The second episode jumps right in with Alicia (Julianna Marguilles) and Cary (Matt Czuchry) still arguing over Diane (Christine Baranski) joining their firm. Alicia has the upper hand since Cary is still in jail and things look murky as the bail money is in question.

Next, we are introduced to Dean (Taye Diggs) as a partner from New York who is setting up shop in Chicago. Diane also announces her “retirement” at the Lockhart Gardner staff meeting and convinces Dean to join her.

We also get a little nod to one of the flashbacks last year as Alicia faces Lorraine, a woman she interviewed with when she started looking for a job and wouldn’t hire her.

Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) has a hard time working with Bishop’s crew as she knows who was wearing the wire and if Bishop finds out, he will be killed. Kalinda wears the Anasta Jacket from The Row ($2,790). This Express Leather Double Peplum Moto Jacket ($128) is similar:

leather peplum

Peter (Chris Noth) refuses to sign a second mortgage with Alicia on her condo which she was going to use for Cary’s bail. He tells her that it isn’t a smart move. He does have a good point, but their relationship is further strained.

That doesn’t seem to matter as people are beating down the door to offer Alicia money for Cary’s bail because they think she is running for office. Robin (Jess Weixler) tries to convince her to take the money, but she refuses. Robin wears the most adorable Alice + Olivia Cloud Print Cardigan (sold out). I couldn’t find a similar cardigan, but I did find two other cloud items. The first is a  Vince Camuto Sleeveless Cloud-Print Shell ($99) and the second is a Forever 21 Cloud Print Cutout Cami ($12.80):

cloud

The back and forth between Alicia and Eli (Alan Cumming) is hilarious. He just can’t help himself when he sees the possibility of a winning campaign. I loved her Escada Bore Jacquard Scuba Jacket (Sold out). I found this similar Ivanka Trump Zip Front Jacket ($139) that has the same exposed zipper and definitely looks like it could be in her wardrobe:

ivanka trump

Alicia held a vote and the partners agreed to allow Diane and her team to join the firm. Watching Diane and Dean walk out of LGC gave me goosebumps. Who would have predicted this last year when we saw Alicia leave. So crazy! Diane’s Escada Leopard Jacquard Coat ($2795) was also stunning! This Piperlime Leopard Coat ($159) is similar:

escada

I think watching Cary and Alicia reunite was the best part of this episode. It was so touching, especially because they’ve never had that type of relationship.

I can’t wait to see what happens next and if Alicia, Diane and Kalinda will be able to keep him out of jail.

What did you think about the second episode?

You can still watch it here if you missed it.

Scandal “Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia” Recap

As Season 4 kicks off, everyone wants to know where on earth is Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington)? Open the first scene…we see a gorgeous beach, cut to Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl  and a relaxed Olivia soaking up some rays in a Kosmos by La Perla swimsuit ($468) and the Exquise sunglasses by Dior. To recreate her island look, I found this Halter One Piece by Victoria’s Secret ($98.50) and RAEN Optics Nora ’12 sunglasses ($68.39):

beach look

Let’s just take a moment to talk about how hot Jake (Scott Foley) is. Who needs the president when you have him. If I were her, I never would have left the island. They get a shipment of food and wine delivered to them (seriously, where is the island and how soon can we leave?). Olivia covers up in a Roberta Roller Rabbit Nicola Dress Magik (sold out). I liked this Echo Design Circular Pendants Caftan Cover-Up ($34.99) to recreate the look:

caftan

Someone sends Julia aka Olivia a news clipping of Harrison’s death. She can’t let it go, so her and Jake travel back to D.C. to plan Harrison’s funeral. Once she arrives, she realizes that OPA is deserted, except for Quinn (Katie Lowes), who explains how she cleverly found where Olivia was hiding. Olivia starts by reaching out to the old gang, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) who is now “Randy” and working at a cell phone help desk and Abby (Darby Stanchfield) who picked up Olivia’s old position as White House Press Secretary.

Abby wears an ALC Falling Iris-Print Song Blouse ($295) to her White House press conference. This Dolly Raglan Sleeve Blouse from Volcom ($49.50) is similar:

dolly blouse

Next up we have Mellie (Bellamy Young) who hasn’t been handling the death of her son very well. She is lounging around the White House in her pajamas and hasn’t left in months. Is anyone else loving messed up Mellie? So much more interesting then repressed Mellie…Her robe is cute and is the Natori Xianado Long Satin Robe (sold out). I found this Natori Garland Robe ($160) as an alternative:

natori robe

Cyrus (Jeff Perry) summons Abby to yell at her for not informing him that Olivia is back. She wears her own Donna Karan Draped Cashmere Coat (sold out). This Tahari Wool Blend Belted Wrap Coat ($348) is similar:

dk wrap coat

We see Olivia pining for Fitz as she gets caught up on the news and get a great view of her Movado Women’s ‘Concerto’ Gold Plated Stainless Steel Watch ($1979.99). For my look for less, I liked this Kate Spade Gramercy Pave Grand ($275):

movado

Just as she is about to have dinner with Jake, she gets a call that may bring her out of hiding. She is wearing her signature wine drinking wrap and lucky for us, The Limited has a great version so we can get this look. Draped Open Front Cardigan ($89.95):

draped open front cardigan

Olivia gets called in to work the Senator Sterling case, but she is still trying not to get sucked in and only work temporarily before her and Jake head back to the island. She tries to pass the case off to a lawyer friend. Olivia rocks a grey Gucci coat (unavailable online). This Michael Kors Asymmetrical Belted Walker Coat ($199.99) is a perfect match:

gucci coat

Is anyone else really liking the new Jake? I think he is so good for Olivia…much better than Fitz. In bed, Olivia wears the La Perla Silk Essence Top ($298). Victoria’s Secret has a similar Cami & Short Set ($52) look for less:

la perla

Much to Jake’s dismay, Olivia throws her hat in the ring and takes on the case with Quinn’s help. Back at the office, she is more casual wearing a Ralph Lauren Lambskin-Trim Nancy Cardigan ($1095). I found this Neiman Marcus Geometric Quilted Faux-Leather-Trim Cardigan ($75) that is more in my price range:

ralph lauren

Olivia solves the case and they bury Harrison in an emotional ceremony.

Back at the White House, we hear some revelations from Fitz and Mellie – like the fact that Fitz tried to commit suicide! Woah! Everyone seems pretty quick to put Fitz and Olivia back together, but they keep denying it. Again…I am loving the new Mellie. She is so honest about everything. She wears the Gatsby Kimono Robe from Christine Lingerie (their website seems to be down). I thought this Natori Alexandra Robe ($180) was similar:

christine robe

During a press conference, Olivia looks fierce in an Escada Scalloped-Hem Topper Jacket ($1475) and matching wide leg pants ($2775). She carries her  Prada Saffiano Lux Double Zip Tote ($2500) as she walks through the hall and her and Fitz see each other for the first time. This Asos blazer has a similar scalloped hem ($26.66). For the tote, I liked this Michael Kors ‘Jet Set’ East/West Saffiano Leather Tote ($268) as a look for less:

escadaAnd with that, Olivia is back. I think Jake is still hanging on to the island, but Olivia is back in D.C. Now we will have to see if she can put the band back together and what will happen with her and Jake.

The Good Wife “The Line” Recap

The Season 6 premiere picks up right where we left off, with Eli (Alan Cumming) asking Alicia (Julianna Marguilles) to run for State’s Attorney. She is having no part of it and is more focused on her potential merger with Diane (Christine Baranski). Cary (Matt Czuchry) doesn’t want to participate in merger talks at all but Alicia convinces him to hear Diane out.

Unfortunately, before he can do anything, Cary gets arrested and we have no idea why!!

Alicia and Diane meet and wait for Cary, but he obviously doesn’t show up. Diane promises to bring her clients, but wants to bring Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) with her and she wants an equal vote.

At the meeting Diane wore the Etro Ponte Paisley-Bodice Dress (849.79 EU). I liked this Karen Kane Goldtone Sequin Front Dress ($138) as a similar look:

etro

As the episode continues, we find out that Cary was arrested for a drug charge, but we don’t know how or why just yet. Cary is so creative – he gets one of the Lockhart Gardner clients he bumps into in general population to tell Kalinda that he is in there. She tells Alicia and gets the ball rolling on his case.

Once Alicia gets there we find out that Cary is accused of a heroin offense – the felony sale of 900 grams! Bail is set in the millions turning this into a much bigger problem than Alicia and Cary could have anticipated. They figure out that this is tied to one of their clients, Mr. Bishop (Mike Colter). They say that Cary advised Bishop on how to sell drugs.

Diane breaks the news to David Lee (Zach Grenier) and Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) that she will retire at the end of the month…aka move to Cary and Alicia’s firm.

Alicia gets replaced as Cary’s attorney because she also represents Lemond Bishop. She asks Diane to help represent Cary and sets Canning and Lee off on suspicion that Diane is going to their firm. Alicia wears the Jeisina Textured Stretch Cotton Striped Blazer by BOSS ($595). I found this similar Emporio Armani Blazer ($275):

hugo bossDiane gets involved, which means putting Kalinda on the case…good for her, Kalinda’s been working it the whole time. Sometimes I think that Diane is my favorite. She is always cool, calm and collected. She wears a St. John Collection Milano Knit Bateau Neck Long Sleeve Draped Dress (745.65 EU). This American Living Ruffled Faux-Wrap Dress ($69) is a great look for less:

red dress

Things get much more complicated, when Bishop brings 1.5 million to Alicia’s office for Cary’s bail. Then Kalinda finds out that there is a recording of Cary telling Bishops men how to avoid jail for their next drug shipment…he might be screwed. Diane has taken over as his lawyer now and I loved this floral blazer she wore. I found this Susan Graver 3/4 Sleeve Printed Floral Textured Jacket ($42.98) for a similar look:

floral blazer

So in the end, our former friend Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode) questioned the bail funds and Cary has to stay in lockup for at least another week. I can’t believe how awful that turned out for him!

Some of the funny moments were with Eli and his daughter, hilarious and cut some of the serious moments, so I thought that was great writing.

I can’t wait to see what happens next week! The first episode was crazy so far!!

What did you think about the premiere?

You can still watch the episode here if you missed it.

Fall 2014 TV Preview

I could not be more excited for Fall TV this year! I am actually swapping in a new DVR this weekend and am going to get everything programmed in. Here is what I will be watching and I will note which ones I will be recapping. Let me know if there are any shows you would love to see me recap.

September 15

Dancing With the Stars (ABC)

So I ended up skipping last season’s DWTS because I didn’t have time to commit to watching 3-4 hours every week. I am 50/50 on watching this season. I love the show, but it is just soooooo long. There are going to be some good contestants this year like Alfonso Ribeiro (do you think he will do the Carlton?), Betsey Johnson (count on her doing the splits), Antonio Sabato, Jr. (this year’s eye candy), and Bethany Mota (YouTube sensation and probably my only hope of every being on this show, so I need to get more readers, lol).

abc_dancing_with_the_stars_cast_mt_140904_16x9_992September 21

Madam Secretary (CBS)

I love political dramas, but I love Tea Leoni even more, so this seems like a great combination. The show follows the life of a former CIA Analyst turned Secretary of State, Elizabeth McCord (Leoni) and looks like a winner. After watching the clip below, I know I will be hooked!

The Good Wife (CBS)

When we last left Alicia (Julianna Marguiles), she had just been asked to run for the State’s Attorney’s office. Pair that with potentially merging with Diane (Christine Baranski), we have a great new season shaping up. It also looks like Alicia may have a new love interest, but will she ever divorce Peter (Chris Noth)? I will be covering The Good Wife fashion again, you can see my previous Good Wife posts here.

September 22

Gotham (FOX)

Gotham is a new drama that is just what it sounds like, a Batman prequel. This follows Harvey Gordon as he moves up the ranks of Gotham PD and has an all-star cast including Jada Pinkett Smith, Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue among others. This looks like a great one to watch with the hubby!

Forever (ABC)

This show looked interesting and mostly caught my eye because it stars Ioan Gruffudd, who we last saw on Ringer. Gruffudd stars as Doctor Henry Morgan who is NYC’s medical examiner. Henry has a secret, he is immortal, alive for 200 years, but has no idea why.

Update: You can watch the pilot episode OnDemand. I liked it so far, looks like it could be a great series.

 September 23

Chicago Fire (NBC)

John and I are a little behind on this one, so I am just going to post the clip so I don’t ruin it before we get caught up.

Person of Interest (CBS)

This is another one that John and I haven’t caught up with yet. We stopped watching after Carter (Taraji P. Henson) died, so I am excited to get caught up and see where the show ended up.

September 25

Bones (FOX)

I have to admit, I was a little confused at the end of Season Nine, I wasn’t exactly sure what happened or how. Season 10 sees Booth (David Boreanaz) incarcerated for the murder of three FBI agents and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) trying to clear his name.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)

And then there were two…can you believe that only Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex (Justin Chambers) are the only original interns left? This season opens with Alex and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) fighting over Christina’s board seat, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) moving to Washington DC without Meredith and new doctors on the scene it should be interesting how they keep this show alive.

Scandal (ABC)

Last year’s season finale was jam-packed with surprises, from Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Mellie’s (Bellamy Young) son dying, Fitz discovering her secret and then winning a second term, the first family has gone through a lot. Harrison (Columbus Short) is dead, killed by Eli (Joe Morton) who now has everything he wants, including revenge on Fitz. Huck (Guillermo Diaz) came face-to-face with his family and Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Jake (Scott Foley) jetted off into the sunset, but not before sending David Rosen (Joshua Malina) a smoking gun for B613. So where on earth is Olivia Pope? I covered Scandal fashion last year and will again this year. To catch up on my previous posts, click here.

How to Get Away with Murder (ABC)

This is the new show from mastermind Shonda Rimes. This show follows Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) as she teaches her law students how to help their clients get away with murder. From the preview it looks like they will have to put her advice to good use. This looks pretty good and the clothes look great to, so I may have to cover this one as well…

September 28

Revenge (ABC)

When we last left Emily (Emily Vancamp) her plan has finally succeeded. The Graysons are ruined…but not without a price. Aiden was poisoned by Victoria (Madeline Stowe). It also looks like David Clarke (James Tupper) is still alive! What will happen this season is anyone’s guess.

September 29

Castle (ABC)

When we last looked in on Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) it was their wedding day…but Castle never made it to the altar. He was kidnapped by someone in the finale cliffhanger. Will these two ever get their happy ending?

October 2

The Vampire Diaries (CW)

Is Damon (Ian Somerholder) really gone?

Reign (CW)

Mary (Adelaide Kane) is officially the Queen of France, just in time to deal with the plague. I’m curious to see how this show will continue as history tells us that Francis (Toby Regbo) doesn’t live very long after their marriage.

October 3

Kendra on Top (WE)

I’ve loved watching Kendra for years, I thought her story of finding Hank and growing out of her party phase was touching. I feel terrible for everything she has had to go through recently and couldn’t watch this clip with out getting goosebumps. I am interested to see how she will react this season.

October 5

Homeland (Showtime)

Last season was heartbreaking as Brody was executed with a devastated Carrie (Claire Danes) watching pregnant with his unborn child. After killing off the main character, I’m not sure where the show goes from here.

October 6

The Originals (CW)

The season finale was surprise after surprise, with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) giving up baby Hope to Rebekah (Claire Holt). There are lots of new faces this season and it will be interesting to see where it goes. This show most surprised me last year, I like it so much more than the Vampire Diaries.

October 12

The Affair (Showtime)

The only thing I know about this show is that Joshua Jackson is in it and that is enough for me. The preview looks pretty steamy…

October 24

Grimm (NBC)

In the season finale Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) got married, Nick (David Giuntoli) lost his powers and Adalind (Claire Coffee) is trying to get her baby back. I also forgot that Nick slept with Adalind while she was pretending to be Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch)! In this clip, the producers talk about what to expect in Season 4.

November 6

White Collar (USA)

I am so sad to see White Collar go! The show was cancelled, but USA is giving the writers six episodes to wrap everything up. When we left off, Neal (Matt Bomer) had been abducted by a mystery group and Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) accepted a job in Washington, D.C. possibly leaving Peter (Tim DeKay) behind. I followed all of Elizabeth’s fashion last season and plan to so so again for the final episodes. You can read my previous recaps here.

whitecollar_aspot_finalseason_2490x1418_V2

Covert Affairs (USA)

We just finished the last season of Covert Affairs, but it was renewed for a sixth season and will follow White Collar on November 6. You can catch up with my recaps of the most recent season here.

Covert Affairs “Elevate Me Later” Recap

As this episode begins, things seem to be getting hot and heavy with Auggie (Christopher Gorham) and Hayley (Amy Jo Johnson). Right away Auggie gets a lead on “The Postman” the only lead they have in the Chicago attacks. Unfortunately, Auggie has to connect with his old flame, Natasha Petrovna (Liane Balaban) in order to track down the lead.

At the office Annie (Piper Perabo) wears a Scrunched Sleeve Blazer by Helmut Lang (sold out) and a mint blouse. This Kensie Women’s Stretch Crepe Blazer ($50.99) and this Chrissy Tulip Blouse In Mint ($38.99) are similar:

white blazer

Auggie and Annie head to Paris to meet with Natasha to see if she will help them with a mission. Annie wears a Jonathan Saunders Lucy silk and cotton-blend jacquard dress (sold out). I liked this Tadashi Shoji Corded Lace Sheath Dress ($328) to recreate it:

red floral dress

Annie gets dressed up to try to find a way into the bank. If Natasha decides to help them in their quest, she’ll need to work her end. She wore the Roland Mouret Atria Wool Dress ($1,295 pounds). This Banana Republic Sloan Sheath ($140) is a great match:

red sheath

It doesn’t take long for Auggie to jump into bed with Natasha and she agrees to help them on one condition, getting all of the charges against her dropped. Auggie tries to explain to Annie that he didn’t mean to sleep with Natasha, but it didn’t take him very long to forget all about poor Hayley. Annie wears the IRO Ashville Leather Moto Jacket (sold out) and carries the Stella McCartney Falabella – Small Shaggy Deer Tote (sold out). To recreate the look, I chose this Calvin Klein Women’s Faux-Leather Moto Jacket ($159.50) and this Kate Landry Bucket Hobo Bag ($79):

Annie needs to find a way into the bank, so she reaches out to Ivan Kravec (Martin Csokas) pretending to be a gun sales representative. Before her date with Ivan, she needs to get Natasha’s code key. Unfortunately, the CIA refuses to make a deal with her and Annie has to steal it, unbeknownst to Auggie. On her date with Ivan, she wore a navy fit and flare dress with gold/bronze strappy heels. I really loved this Sleeveless Lace Yoke Skater Dress ($29.99) and this Steve Madden Rykie Ankle Strap Heel ($109) to recreate the look:

Annie is able to give him just enough to keep the charade going and then she drugs him and gains access to his computer. Auggie is furious with Annie for running the mission her way without any consideration to his feelings.

She tries to make amends with him back in D.C., but he called in sick and she didn’t get a chance to connect with him. They did find out that their trail leads them back to Ivan, so it looks like Annie will have to see him again. Back in D.C. she wears a Peaked Lapel Blazer by Smythe (sold out). This was a hard one to recreate, but I did find this Denim & Co. One Button Leather Jacket with Pintuck Detail ($121):

Annie tried to make amends with Natasha on Auggie’s behalf and it seemed to work because she showed up at his doorstep at the end of the episode. Now what will he do about Hayley?

Mistresses “An Affair to Surrender” Recap

As Mistresses kicks off this week, I wonder if Savi (Alyssa Milano) actually does any work. Every time she arrives at the office she seems to get called away immediately on some personal issue. Harry (Brett Tucker) and Savi finally find a buyer for the house and can move on.

Joss (Jes Macallan) starts the move in process with Scott (Justin Hartley) and he is wondering if she loves him back. She finally says the words and she doesn’t pass out, so that is a good start. We also find out that Scott owns a restaurant with a sexy supermodel and they want Joss to throw the grand opening. And of course she wants to bring in Harry as the chef. I don’t see why she can’t let him go for crying out loud!

Karen (Yunjin Kim) decides to break up with Jacob (Matthew del Negro) because she doesn’t want to stop seeing Anna. This woman is the queen of bad decisions!

April (Rachelle Aytes) can’t seem to let Daniel (Ricky Whittle) go, even though he is married.

Here are some of my favorite looks from this episode:

Joss

While Joss and Savi condo hunt, she looks great in the Rag & Bone Jefferson Blazer (sold out). I liked this Choies Blazer ($37.99) because it was a great color match:

As the girls come over to help Savi pack up the house, Joss wears the cutest shirt that says “Chardonnay. Late nights. Boys.” I’ve heard that you can find this shirt at Macy’s, but I also found this one at Spreadshirt for $29.40:

Joss meddled again in Harry’s affairs and her new restaurant owner wants to hire him as the head chef. He ultimately decides to take the job and she gets her way by keeping him from moving to Australia. She wears an Embellished Silk Tee by Rebecca Taylor (sold out). I loved that tee, but was able to find this INC Sequined Cap Sleeve Tee ($54.99), which gives you that same pop of sparkle:

Scott finally mans up and calls Joss out on her meddling with Harry. I don’t think she was listening though. Joss lounges around in the Splendid Marina Eyelet Stripe Tee ($31.99):

Savi

Savi also dressed to impress while condo hunting. She wears the Vince Dot-Print Silk Tank Top ($78) and the Stella & Dot Crosby Link Necklace ($128):

She ultimately decides to break escrow and keep the house. It will cost her a lot of money and she will have to buy out Harry, but you can’t put a price on home. Savi wears the Joie Masha Silk Top (sold out). I found a similar Masha Top ($218) in a different print, but its practically identical:

Karen

After she breaks up with Jacob, Karen has a hard time getting in touch with Anna after she misses her appointment. Karen wears an Alice + Olivia Two-Tone Leather-Collar Blazer ($208). This H&M Fitted Jacket ($39.95) is a good alternative:

Karen gets an address for Anna, but discovers that she lied and never even lived there. She finally has to reach out to Jacob for help in finding Anna and he figures out that this is the real reason she broke off their relationship. Karen wears a Karen Millen Cotton Jacquard Shift Dress (sold out). As an alternative I liked this Tahari Bateau Neck Sheath Dress ($76.80):

Anna finally shows up at Karen’s door and she thinks that Jacob wants to get back together with her…little does she know. Karen wore a Helmut Lang Tidal Printed Cowl-Back Top (sold out). I thought this Pam & Gela Sofia Tie Dye Tee ($125) was similar:

April

April has a hard time breaking things off with Daniel, but after her daughter tells her that sleeping with a married man is gross, she seems to take the hint. She wears a Joie Terabithia Blouse (sold out). I found this similar colored Sophie Max Solid Crepe Georgette Blouse ($52.80):

At the end of the episode Anna runs into Karen and Jacob together which I’m sure she will take well.

Bachelorette 10 – The Men Tell All

It’s time for The Men Tell All…aka the easiest post to write because Andi only wears one outfit!

The show kicks off with a visit from Ashley and J.P. Rosenbaum. Ashley is very pregnant and they do an on-air ultrasound where it is revealed that they are having a boy! I just love them, I was a huge fan of J.P. on that season and am excited that #TeamCupcake is doing so well.

After a LOT of drama with the men, we move on to Marcus and Chris. Marcus is getting set up here for his big stint on Bachelor in Paradise and Chris is being primed as the next Bachelor. The ladies seem to love him and I can see why. The whole thing with Chris and the random audience girl was dumb. Since he’s going to be the Bachelor he can’t really date right now. Maybe that girl will end up as one of his contestants or something. I’m not really sure where they were going with that.

As Andi comes out you get a great look at her Sequin Vine Cocktail Dresses by Mac Duggal ($458). I thought this JS Collection Sequin Dress ($248) was a great look for less:

She wears lovely Badgley Mischka Pumps – The Kat High Heel, you can get it here, here or here from $150-179. These Guess Bittan 3 Pumps (484.99) are a similar look for less:

Andi handled all of the men’s questions with grace and you can tell that she really respected everyone and tried to send them home as soon as she knew that there wasn’t a future. In this clip you can see her fabulous Alexis Bittar Vine Ring ($295):

I enjoy reading Bachelor spoilers and if you are interested in finding out what happens in advance you can check out Reality Steve for more information. He also has great behind the scenes details on which cast-offs are dating and who is going take the final rose this season.
