I was more excited for The Crazy Ones to start than any other show this season. Why? Because of Sarah Michelle Gellar. I have loved watching Gellar since her Buffy the Vampire Slayer days. I find it funny that I am now going to recap her outfits from The Crazy Ones, because I used to do this during Buffy. I didn’t really id the original outfits, but I would try to find similar looks so I could recreate them.
The Crazy Ones is set at an ad agency in Chicago owned by father/daughter duo Simon and Sydney Roberts. They team is about to lose their biggest account, McDonald’s. I’m not sure if anyone else saw the irony in the writer’s choice of McDonald’s as the big client. As a small child, Gellar’s first commercial was for Burger King in which she criticized McDonald’s. The commercial even led to a lawsuit from McDonald’s.
I thought the pilot was fantastic. I LOVED the scene with Robin Williams and James Wolk singing the “drive through lovin” song to Kelly Clarkson…hilarious!
I love how Sydney (Gellar) saved the day (and the account) by singing to Kelly Clarkson. I thought this was extra special because she pretty much vowed never to sing on TV again after the Buffy musical. I like that working with Robin Williams seems to push her out of her comfort zone. Hopefully we’ll see more of that this season.
Now, let’s get down to the clothes: Sarah’s first outfit includes a Helmut Lang leather biker jacket (sold out) and a Ted Baker Orchid Print Top (sold out):

To recreate this look, you can try the INC Faux-Leather Motorcycle Jacket ($89.50) and this floral blouse from Vince Camuto ($19.99): She also carries a Tom Ford Jennifer Large Calfskin Shoulder Bag ($2990). You can check out this B. Makowsky Glove Leather Convertible Messenger Bag ($265) for a less expensive option: Her second outfit showcases a beautiful Rebecca Taylor Hawaii Zip Jacket ($174.99) and I found a Trina Turk hot pink blouse ($188) to go with it:
In the scene with Kelly Clarkson, Sydney adds an All Saints leather trench and a pair of Prada Pink Two Tone Suede Platform Peep Toes ($517.50):
I LOVED the Prada shoes, but unfortunately they don’t have them in my size anymore. If you love them to you can find a similar pair at DSW for $49.94:
