Pantone’s Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse

Pantone named Mocha Mousse as its 2025 Color of the Year and I must admit I was disappointed. My initial reaction was that this color was blah and moving into a new year, I wanted something fun and vibrant. This is not my favorite color and I have very little in my home and closet. I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to write this post.

The more I thought about it, I realized this is a neutral color and it’s all about building a foundation of staples. You aren’t wearing this color to be vibrant, you’re adding it in as a hardworking basic piece. Something high quality that you might keep for a long time. Once I started thinking about it from that perspective, I needed inspiration. Meghan Markle immediately popped into my head – she is the queen of neutrals. I decided to take a page from her fashion playbook and came up with some Mocha Mousse items that would be great basics to build on. Let me know what you think!

Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Balm ($24)

Tik Tokkers have been talking about this for months and as soon as I started writing this the iced coffee flavor instantly popped into my head for Mocha Mousse. I’m not a big coffee person, but I will probably still try this one out. I also love a woman-owned brand!

High-Waisted Satin Midi Slip Skirt in Mocha Taffy ($19.99)

You can style this skirt so many different ways – with a sweater, a tank top, heels, or sneakers. It’s on trend right now, but this is a classic piece.

Tea Leaves Mocha Mousse Tea ($38)

Tea Leaves created a special Pantone Mocha Mousse Black Tea (my favorite) just for 2025. Think flavors of chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla (and caffeine).

Dolce Vita Katik Heels ($79.90)

These heels look so sexy! I was looking for a basic pump but these are so much better!

CND Satin Pajamas ($11.30)

This is such a subtle neutral with a soft shimmer…perfect for a neutral nail with a little something extra.

Brown Minimal Sleeveless Midi Dress ($21.99)

This is so elegant – perfect for looking classy while also being casual.

Brumate Era in Mocha ($44.99)

I’m a big fan of my Brumate cups. My toddler always wants to drink out of mommy’s cup and I love the locking feature on these.

Coach Brooklyn Shoulder Bag ($295)

I’ve been looking for a new brown bag since I wore out my last one. I’m loving the style of this one and it’s big enough to hold all my junk!

This is such a romantic piece but would be perfect for date night. You could pair it with jeans and the Dolce Vita shoes!

When I think of Mocha Mousse this is what comes to mind. Rich roasted coffee, sugared brioche, and vanilla creme. Just pretend I’m in Paris.

Pearls are classic, but these are different. They would compliment any outfit.

ColourPop Deja Brew Eyeshadow Palette ($14)

Shimmery neutrals are my everyday go to eye look. I originally would have suggested the original Naked palette (which I am hoarding at home), but you can’t get that one anymore so this ColourPop version is a great option!

I wasn’t going to add this one, but it’s too perfect not too! I love the cut of this dress. I still like the skirt above as well, but this dress in Marshland Brown was so cute in a different way.

Zipper Tech Case ($15.00)

This would be the perfect work “padfolio” as I call it. I work in a coworking space and I bring my stuff back and forth, so traveling light is crucial.

Mod Hoop Earrings ($28)

These would look so cute with any of the clothing and outfits I shared here.

LA Girl Cafe Lipliner Pencil ($3.49) and NYX Madeline Butter Gloss ($5.99)

I already had both of these colors on hand, but put them together and you have the ultimate mocha lip combo.

LilySilk Silk Shirt ($139)

This is a little pricey, but the pictures look amazing. It’s a great way to dress up any outfit and a button up NEVER goes out of style.

Floral Coasters ($17)

These coasters are stunning and elevate any space. I’m all about adding life’s little luxuries back into your day and these coasters do just that.

Coach Integration Flower Sunglasses ($89)

These scream summer to me – I imagine wearing them to a music festival or outdoor event.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Peach Fuzz

Pantone has named Peach Fuzz as their 2024 Color of the Year. This is such a fun spring color and reminds me of my favorite drink – a Bellini. This is the 25th year of Pantone announcing a color of the year and I think it’s a fun tradition to imagine how to incorporate these colors into our lives.

Here are a few of the things I chose to bring Peach Fuzz to life this year, let me know your favorites.

Kate Spade Peach Huggie Earrings ($34.80)

You knew this list was going to include lots of peaches. Nothing says fun novelty piece more than Kate Spade. These adorable little earrings will be the perfect addition to my spring and summer dresses.

Old Navy Ruffle-Trim Mixed Fabric Top ($9.99)

This top will be a summer staple, and you can’t beat the price. Layer it or wear it solo, it will dress up any outfit.

Tory Burch Claire Cap-Toe Ballet ($278)

I’m a huge fan of Tory Burch flats, in fact, I wear mine all the time. These are light two-tone take on the peach trend.

Brumate Era 40 oz Tumbler ($44.99)

In my opinion, the Brumate is the ultimate tumbler with its part silicone straw and locking feature. The guava color is the perfect shade of peach fizz for 2024.

CND Shellac/Vinylux in Daydreaming ($20.38)

I’m a big CND fan as I do my own gel nails at home and find that it lasts the longest. CND just released their 2024 Spring Collection “Across the Maniverse” and the color Daydreaming is a peachy orange crème color that perfectly embodies the Color of the Year.

Kate Spade Roulette Chain Clutch ($79.97)

This classic little clutch is the perfect go-to for all your outings. It would be great for sporting events, festivals and concerts.

Blossom Drop Earrings ($48)

These earrings are stunning and so feminine. I LOVE a statement earring and I can already envision all the outfits I could wear these with.

Twist Front Sleeve Ombre Dress ($49)

This dress is a little outside of my comfort zone, but I love the ombre look. This could be a perfect date night look or vacation outfit.

Adidas Grand Court 2.0 Sneakers ($69.99)

I love these Adidas sneakers. They are so cute when I’m dressing up in my mom uniform and chasing around my toddler.

Prosecco and Peaches Candle ($26.95)

I love Bath and Body Works candles and rarely can walk into a store without picking up a new one. This scent combines peaches, vanilla, and bubbly champagne.

Pat McGrath Satin Allure Lipstick in Venusian Peach ($30)

A peach lipstick is something everyone should have in their collection.

Everywhere Belt Bag ($38)

The belt bag has become part of the mom uniform at this point – so handy to run around at the park and make sure your stuff is secure. You can also bring this into baseball games so this color is perfect for summer Tigers games.

Peach Selenite Palm Stone ($28)

I have a selenite palm stone I use in my meditation, but this takes it up a notch! The palm stone protects from negative energy, helps heal old wounds, and lends purifying vibes. Selenite has a deep cleansing power and can recharge tired spirits.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Classic Blue

Blue is one of my FAVORITE colors, so I was thrilled when Pantone named Classic Blue as their 2020 Color of the Year. Blue is so calming and beautiful, you can’t go wrong with anything in blue!

Here are a few of my favorite ways to incorporate Classic Blue into your life this coming year:

Sam Edelman Women’s Danna Pump ($111.61)

I have pair of Steve Madden blue suede pumps, but alas, they are currently sold out. I found these Same Edelman pumps that are a great substitute. I love wearing colored pumps!

Libbey® Classic Blue Stemless Wine Glasses ($34.99)

You can never have too many wine glasses and lately I’ve been loving the stemless ones – they are harder to break and fit in the dishwasher more easily.

Kendra Scott Elle Silver Drop Earrings in Blue Lapis ($65)

I came across these a while back and thought they were stunning! I can’t wait to get a pair for myself!

I recently tried a blue tea and it was delicious! When I saw that Tealeaves came out with an official Pantone Classic Blue tea, I thought it was the perfect addition to this list.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Living Coral

I have SO much fun writing my Pantone Color of the Year posts each year. I was surprised by the choice of Living Coral this year, but the more I got into it, the more I realized it was just uplifting and actually making me happy thinking about surrounding myself with this color. In today’s world, we could all benefit from a little more joy in our lives.

All of the items below made me happy, so I hope adding them to your collection this year will bring you a little joy too!

You guys know how much I love my Sporty and Sport loves his bandanas! This was too cute and would look darling on our pup!

Deny Designs Agate Cutting Board in Coral ($34.99)

I just love the design of the this board and the hubby cannot have enough cutting boards in our cupboards. This would make a darling cheese platter too!

V-Neck Flutter Sleeve Peplum Top ($69.50)

Peplum is the best for work attire! It is flowy and feminine in all the right places. I like the little sleeves attached to this too.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviving Lip Balm ($34)

I’m obsessed with the Dior Addict line of lip wear. I love their lipsticks, balms and glosses. They are so creamy and feel great on your lips, not sticky. In terms of lip color, I feel like coral is the perfect pop of color for a balm.

No Rain No Flowers Cooler Bag ($35)

I haven’t had a cute work lunch bag in a while (and let’s be honest, I could stand to bring my lunch to work more). This would also be adorable for a little picnic.

Swell Birds of Paradise Bottle ($35)

I love water bottles and the Swell ones are so nice. This has a slight hint of ombre to it, which makes me like it even more.

Ronni Nicole Short Sleeve Floral Lace Fit & Flare Dress ($39.88)

Who doesn’t love a fit and flare dress? This would be fantastic for work and I love the femininity of the lace.

Kendra Scott Edie Bracelet ($65)

A Kendra Scott bangle has always been on my list and I love how these are open so they can fit any wrist.

Bobbi Brown Coral Shimmer Blush ($32)

I love a shimmer blush and Bobbi Brown blushes last FOREVER!

Manduka Pro Lite Yoga Mat ($92)

I love my Manduka yoga pat, so this color in Illumination is the perfect way to brighten up your practice.

Kate Spade Sweet & Dry Stemless Wine Glasses ($25.99)

I’ve really taken to stemless wine glasses lately. I love these little novelty sets which are great for the fire pit or for when friends stop by.

Sam Edelman Hazel Pointy Toe Pump ($119.95)

Who doesn’t love a colorful pump? I’m pretty sure I’m working to get a pump in every color haha! I do have a few pairs of Same Edelman pumps that I love.

CND Vinylux in Tropix ($10.50)

This has been one of my favorites for a while and I featured it on my Spring Favorites list in 2014.

BP Circle Clutch ($28)

I could see myself carrying this little clutch all summer long. I love the little wooden ring detail!

Elan Cover-Up Maxi Dress ($68)

This is an ADORABLE cover up! I love how flowy it is and the halter look. Perfect for a day at the beach.

Rubina Beaded Tassel Earrings ($38)

These are the perfect spring/summer accent piece. I’ve been looking for a cute pair of tassel earrings and these fit the bill.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Ultra Violet

I am so excited about Pantone’s choice for the 2018 color of the year! I can have a lot of fun with Ultra Violet.

I love that Ultra Violet stands for non-conformity and has been associated with mindfulness practices. I may have to incorporate it in my Miracle Morning meditation. The New York Times also wrote a great overview on how we’ve already incorporated this color into our lives. Here are a few ways to incorporate Ultra Violet into your environment:

Salame Jewelry Designs Amethyst Lariat Necklace ($98)

This amethyst necklace set is stunning. Did you know that the Greeks believed that amethysts could protect them from intoxication? Something to think about for your next night on the town.

Fold-Over Card Holder ($16.90)

This is nice if you just want to incorporate some purple into your wardrobe but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a new bag.

Dot Grid Bullet Journal ($16)

This would be a great journal for The Miracle Morning!

Sam Edelman Women’s Hazel Suede High Heel Pumps ($72)

I love this color and the idea of pairing these with an all black outfit for a pop of color.

After going nuts with Christmas cookies last month, I realized that I could use some new cookie sheets and this is so fun!

MAC Parfait Amour Eyeshadow ($16)

This is one of my favorite eyeshadow colors for a night out on the town. Just a little on the eyelid takes it up a notch.

This is one of my favorite cuts and it just looks so stunning with the color!

These are always necessary when you need to keep your champagne chilled in between pours.

Bright Solids Sherpa Decorative Throw Blanket ($22.22)

I like the idea of a throw because you can change up any look easily depending on your mood. I am a firm believer that you can never have enough throws.

OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? ($10.50)

Purple is so fun, especially for the summer months. You can also find the gel version here.

Manduka Pro Lite Yoga Mat ($82)

I love my Manduka mat – it is absolutely worth the price in my opinion. Mine is a teal color and I wish they would have had this color when I bought it.

INC Mock-Neck Cutout Sheer-Sleeve Sweater ($69.50)

I love all the fun details of this sweater – the cut outs, the sleeves, the color.

Gold Dipped Amethyst Cluster ($22)

How perfect is this little gem? All you have to do is mist the plant every now and then and that’s it. I could probably get away without killing this one.

Michael Kors Sadie Large Top-Zip Satchel ($238.80)

I love the detail on this bag. I also love a purple handbag, I carried the last one I had until it literally was no more.

Ray-Ban Original Aviators ($178)

These would be so great for summer! How have I not purchased a pair of aviators yet?

Keyhole Ruffle-Sleeve Sweater ($35.99)

I was trying to wrap this post up when I stumbled across this, which I know is similar to the first one, but I still love them both!

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Greenery

Pantone has named “Greenery” the 2017 Color of the Year. Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that is symbolic of new beginnings. Think the great outdoors meets the first day of spring.

I loved this thought from Pantone “The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.”

At first I wasn’t thrilled with this color, but I love the idea that enjoying it in fashion, home and beauty products should remind me to reconnect with nature, so I’m definitely digging it. Here are a few ways you can enjoy it:

Green Rectangular Lacquer Serving Tray ($24.99)

This tray is perfect to add a pop of color to any room. You can use it to serve or as a piece of decor.

Piñata Tassel Drops ($36)

These earrings are fabulous and the perfect addition to any outfit.

OPI My Gecko Does Tricks ($10)

This was the perfect match for Greenery, plus it also comes in the gel color to match which is a must have for me.

This would be a great transition piece from winter to spring.

These would be adorable at the beach or during the summer months. They look comfortable!

When I saw this dress I couldn’t think of anything that embodied the spirit of Greenery more. This is such a different style than I would normally wear but I think it would look great.

I can totally get on board with these beauties. I’ve been eyeing a pair of aviators for a while.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Rose Quartz & Serenity

For the first time ever, Pantone has named two shades as their 2016 Color of the Year. They blended two shades, Rose Quartz and Serenity to create their 2016 color.

These colors are supposed to represent balance, mindfulness, relaxation and composure. I love this theme for 2016 and think we can all bring more balance into our lives.

Here are a few of my picks to incorporate Rose Quartz & Serenity into your life this year:

Sephora & Pantone Color of the Year Matte Lipstick ($18)

Sephora has teamed up with Pantone to release official Color of the Year lipsticks in both Rose Quartz and Serenity. They’ve also created a unique lipgloss and eye shadow palette for these colors and more.

Chinese Laundry Leo T Strap Sandal ($69.95)

I had previously admired these shoes on one of Ali Fedotowsky’s posts months ago, but as I was doing research for this post, I saw they come in both Cashmere Blue Patent and Soft Pink Patent which match our colors of the year.

Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace ($80)

I love Kendra Scott’s pendant necklaces and she has my favorite one in both periwinkle and rose quartz.

Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise Leather Satchel ($223.50 – $298)

I’ve been eyeing this bag for a long time, I love how compact it is – definitely my version of arm candy.

Lord & Taylor Dip-Dyed Cashmere Crewneck ($214)

I love anything ombre so these were calling my name.

OPI Nail Polish

I chose the OPI colors Suzi Shops and Island Hops and No Room for the Blues as the best picks for this year’s Pantone color. They both come in regular polish and Gel color which you can’t beat!

Robert Rodriguez Floral-Print Faux-Wrap Dress ($149)

I thought this dress was the perfect blend of our two colors. Plus it’s just so feminine which I love!

ASICS Women’s GT-1000 3 Running Shoe ($69.95)

I thought these were a great blend of our Pantone colors. The pink is a little darker, but you get the idea.

Canvas Wall Art ($39.99)

I love the saying and the colors – what a perfect addition to your home decor in our favorite colors.

Sunset Sublimation Capri Leggings ($45)

These are the perfect blend of Rose Quartz & Serenity! Hopefully they bring you serenity in your yoga practice.

Pantone has officially named Marsala, a naturally robust and earthy wine red, as the Color of the Year for 2015.

To me, Marsala is a deep, earthy wine color. It makes me think of fall and winter. Call it burgundy, maroon, mauve, wine, oxblood or any of those names. Since this is the color to have in 2015, I thought I would share a few items that you can get to start incorporating Marsala into your life:
