Scandal "The State of the Union" Recap

This episode kicks off with Jake (Scott Foley) and Olivia (Kerry Washington) discussing booty calls, but before they can finish the conversation, she gets a political booty call from Cyrus (Jeff Perry). Cyrus blackmails Olivia into taking on a new case. Her running attire is classic with a Criss-Cross Hope Jacket from Athleta ($118) and Run: Inspire Crop II from Lululemon ($86).

This week, Olivia is trying to bring together a couple who hates each other. Unfortunately, they are the face of gun control that the president needs at his State of the Union address. I loved Mellie’s (Bellamy Young) dynamic with everyone this week. With Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and the fried chicken and then Abby (Darby Stanchfield) giving her a pep talk. Fitz’s speech was chilling and amazing and him and Mellie were great. I wonder if they will ever get back together…Her dress was red and powerful for the State of the Union.
