The Bachelor – Sean and Catherine’s Wedding

We started week four with Sean and Catherine’s wedding. I love this part of The Bachelor, mostly because it doesn’t happen that often. I love watching the event come together and I am just a sucker for romance and weddings. This wedding was a little different from all of the other ones because it was live, something they’ve never done before.

The wedding was held at The Four Seasons Biltmore Resort in Santa Barbara.

The backdrop, set design and flowers were so beautiful!

Screen Shot 2014-03-01 at 9.31.30 PM

I didn’t really get the whole “Grown Sexy” theme. I would have described it more as feminine and elegant, but to each their own. The ceremony was incredible, Sean’s dad was the perfect officiant. I give props to everyone for saying their own vows, I don’t think I could have done that, I was so emotional on my wedding day, so I have to respect anyone that can get the words out.

To check out more behind the scenes details, check out Shay Shull’s blog (Sean’s sister) here.

The wedding was planned by Mindy Weiss with flowers by Mark’s Garden (who also did Gwen Stefani’s wedding).

Catherine wore a strapless lace fit-and-flare gown from Monique Lhuiller’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Her 12 bridesmaids also wore pink dresses from Monique Lhuillier. Sean wore a tuxedo from Dolce & Gabbana:

The bridesmaids wore heels from Sole Society. I did some research and found that they got to pick from a few different Sole Society heels, the Kella, Dar, Kasha or Kelly designs from Sole Society. My favorites are the sold-out Kella cap toe pump. I found a similar pair from Victoria’s Secret ($39.99):

Screen Shot 2014-03-01 at 10.10.45 PM

Catherine received a pair of Swarovski crystal-encrusted custom flats by Yosi Samra for the reception. These Footzyfolds Crystal Ballet Flats ($115) from QVC are similar. You could also get the plain bronze crackled Yosi Samra flats for $66:

The ladies received a balance bracelet by Dogeared ($78) and Trellis hoop earrings by Sole Society ($22.95).

The bridesmaids also received monogrammed LeSportsac totes filled with lots of goodies including Minimergency kits from Pinch Provisions ($16), custom created, white Bri Seeley scarves, mini boom boxes from Kinivo (&18.99), Modify watches ($45), Bel Fiore Cupcake Frosting Hair Ties ($10) , Joey New York Quick Result Beauty Kit ($36) and Kixies thigh highs.

The bride used the Je T’AIME Heart Card from Sugar Paper Stationary ($6) to write thank you notes to all of the bridesmaids:

On November 13th, Catherine posted on Twitter that she was getting her bridesmaids The Stella & Dot Together Forever Necklace ($59). This necklace totally reminds of the Girl Scouts Make New Friends song, where it says “Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other’s gold.” This is such a perfect gift for bridesmaids!

n901gs_1_1Sean and Catherine had custom designed rose gold wedding bands from Neil Lane.

5 on Friday: Olympics Edition

It’s time for another edition of Five on Friday with A Liz AdventuresThe Good Life BlogHello Happiness and Carolina Charm.

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

I ended up getting sick on Monday and it took me down for the rest of the week. I think it was a touch of food poisoning, but in any case it meant no blogging for me! I am excited to get back to normal today and hopefully get caught up this weekend.

I’ve never really been into the Olympics, but this year has been different. I actually ended up watching the Opening Ceremonies for a work project and it has been a topic of conversation everywhere I go. I thought I would do an Olympic themed edition of 5 on Friday to get into the Team USA spirit. So here are my favorite items to show my spirit:

1. USA Olympic iPhone Case ($34.10)

USA iphone

2. US Flag Infinity Scarf  ($40)

3. United States Necklace ($41.54)

4. North Face Nuptse Down Vest ($160)

White Collar “Taking Stock” Recap

This week on White Collar, Neal (Matt Bomer) doesn’t waste any time telling Peter (Tim DeKay) that he doesn’t want a new handler once Peter goes to Washington. He wants the FBI to take all of their case files into consideration and let him go free. But first they have to bag and tag all of the evidence from Rebecca’s (Bridget Regan) case. While they do that, one of her burner phones rings and they get a lead on a new case.

NUP_155778_0210

In order to take this case, Peter needs someone that can pass for Rebecca to go undercover. He brings Diana (Marsha Thomason) back from maternity leave early so she can impersonate Rebecca. When they get the assignment, the guy that is going to hire Rebecca for the job agrees to meet with her, but indicates that he will use her signal so she will know it is him. Unfortunately, they don’t know what her signal is, so Peter has to bring Rebecca into the FBI so they can find out.

After some mind games, they discover her signal is a watch, worn upside down, set at 10:20. Rebecca demands to talk to Neal in return for this information. Diana meets their target, Conrad Worth (Steven Pasquale), but he isn’t sure that she is who she says she is, so Neal has to get some additional background from Rebecca. Diana gets the job – stealing a thumb drive with some priceless information. The drive contains an illegal trading algorithm that was designed to be used on the stock market.

neal-rebecca-white-collar

Peter and Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) work on packing up their house for the big move to Washington. Peter confides to Elizabeth that Neal wants to get off of his anklet and he doesn’t think Neal is ready. Elizabeth suggests that the situation with Rebecca might have been a wake up call for him. She wears a blue/green burnout tee to pack. I thought this JCrew Prima Jersey Drop-Shoulder Tee ($45) was similar:

Screen Shot 2014-02-22 at 4.07.46 PM

The next day, Diana and Neal prepare to steal the thumb drive, but there is an emergency with Diana’s son and she has to leave Neal to handle the caper himself. The emergency turns out to be Mozzie (Willie Garson) stopping by to visit his namesake, Teddy, and harassing Diana’s babysitter. Neal almost gets caught in the act, but manages to get out with the thumb drive in hand.

WC_512_0401

Diana takes the thumb drive back to Conrad Worth, but he was tipped off that Diana is in fact not Rebecca and her cover is blown. The team is still able to make the arrest, but they are left wondering who tipped him off. They discover that the tip came from the Metropolitan Corrections Center and Rebecca was the one that tipped him off.

In the end, Peter and Neal come full circle. Neal tells Peter that he can go straight if the FBI releases him from his anklet, but before they go into detail Peter gets a call saying that Rebecca has escaped from prison.

We see Rebecca on the balcony at Neal’s apartment looking over Mozzie as he has a glass of wine!

What do you think will happen next? Will Rebecca hurt Mozzie?

5 on Friday: Valentine’s Gift Guide Edition

It’s time for another edition of Five on Friday with A Liz AdventuresThe Good Life BlogHello Happiness and Carolina Charm.

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

John and I don’t usually exchange gifts for Valentine’s Day, but I thought it would be fun to put together a little gift guide. Here are some of my favorite Valentine’s Day gifts.

1. Lia Sophia LoveFest Earrings ($38)

US Weekly just posted this article about Nikki Reed’s Love earrings from Lia Sophia for only $38. I thought these would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. For a bonus, I think someone I know is having a Lia Sophia party soon, so I can make sure to get this order in.

2. Love Bracelet ($24.95)

I purchased this at The Limited a few months ago and love wearing it. It would make a cute Valentine’s Day gift.

3. Kate Spade Je Ne Sais Quoi iPhone Case ($40)

I thought this was an adorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It changes pictures based on your view.

4. Kate Spade “Mrs” Necklace ($78)

I’ve eyed this ever since John and I got married. Just a cute reminder that I am married to my prince charming.

Screen Shot 2014-02-06 at 11.35.38 PM

5. Tiffany I Love You Ring ($125)

I saved the best for last! This delicate ring would make a great token of your affection. I feel like this isn’t one you can buy for yourself, it is so much better if someone else gets it for you.

Cougar Town “Depending on You” Recap

This week on Cougar Town Jules (Courtney Cox) is unable to say no to a couple that she recently sold a house to. Grayson (Josh Hopkins) doesn’t understand why she keeps offering to help them. She wears a Textured Bodycon Dress by Alexander McQueen. I found a Charter Club Floral Print Shift Dress ($89) to recreate the the look:

Screen Shot 2014-02-18 at 10.47.08 PM

I loved the opening credits this week – pretty much every episode…

Screen Shot 2014-02-18 at 10.50.11 PM

Jules also can’t say no to Girl Scout cookies – that’s something we have in common – I love me some Girl Scout cookies! Jules and Grayson get invited to the annoying couple’s wedding, but its on the night of Grayson’s roller hockey finals.

1526386_512587228858060_1245549632_n

I loved Laurie’s (Busy Phillips) outfit in this scene, it was so colorful. She wore a TopShop Cutabout Floral Maxi Dress. This Felicity & Coco Knit Bodice Floral Maxi Dress ($88) is similar:

Screen Shot 2014-02-18 at 11.23.49 PM

In the meantime, Bobby (Brian Van Holt) discovers that dog Travis has puppies! The owner isn’t interesting in sharing his pups with Bobby.

Jules insists on going to the wedding and Grayson tries to convince her that she can’t say no to anyone! He RSVPs “no” to the wedding, or so he thinks. They run into the couple at lunch who think they are going to the wedding. Come to find out that Jules changed the RSVP unbeknownst to Grayson. Jules decides that they can do both – attend the wedding and go to Grayson’s hockey game. Jules wears a red and white striped button down with white pants. I found a similar Ralph Lauren Poplin Shirt ($145):

Screen Shot 2014-02-18 at 11.52.36 PM

Laurie and Travis (Dan Byrd) discover that Tom (Bob Clendenin) has a tiny model of the cul-de-sac with replicas of all of the crew. Laurie thinks her doll is too made up, but Travis thinks that is her normal look. She takes offense to this and storms off.

Andy (Ian Gomez) has a bright idea to use Ellie’s (Christa Miller) nastiness to get Bobby custody of dog Travis’ puppies. Side note: Brainstorm has now been replaced with Brainflood. Ellie wears a cloud print blouse by Kenzo. Karen Kane makes a similar print blouse at Nordstrom ($128):

Screen Shot 2014-02-19 at 12.19.01 AM

It’s finally time for the wedding, which is being held at Bobby’s boatyard. Jules’ master plan starts out well, as she plans to sneak out of the reception early. This would have been fine except Jules and Grayson got roped into standing up in the wedding. Jules wears a Roberto Cavalli Floral V-Neck Dress. I found a similar floral print Ivy & Blu dress ($100.99):

Screen Shot 2014-02-20 at 11.51.02 AM

Ellie pulls out her lawyer uniform, which consists of a power suit and her trusty Louboutins. She goes toe-to-toe with the owner of dog Travis’ puppies and much to her surprise he isn’t threatened at all by mean Ellie. I loved her yellow blouse with the black stripe and found a similar Vince Camuto blouse ($79) that would look great with a black suit:

Screen Shot 2014-02-20 at 4.38.29 PMEllie worries that she has lost her edge, but Andy and Tom inspire her to get back out there and win custody of those puppies!

Travis and Laurie make up with a little help from Tom and his cul-de-sac model. Laurie wears a sold-out BCBGMAXAZRIA Womens Lois Scarf Kimono Dress and the JCrew Lattice Necklace I have been coveting all year. I found a similar Dahlia dress for $79. You can find plenty of Lattice Necklace replicas on eBay:

Screen Shot 2014-02-20 at 4.59.31 PM

Jules uses her speech at the wedding to profess her love for Grayson and commit to always putting her husband first. It was a sweet turn of events and Grayson was even able to attend his hockey game in the end.

I loved this episode, I am like Jules so that was a great reminder for me to always put my husband first. What did you think about this episode?

The Bachelor – Week 3 Recap

Week Three of The Bachelor kicked off with the Bachelor Love Stories special, which included Trista & Ryan’s vow renewal. I loved watching Trista and Ryan – this was so touching and made me think of my own marriage. I can’t wait to look back when we’ve made it to 10 years!

I LOVED Trista’s dress for her vow renewal, it was stunning! The silver sequined dress was designed by Pavoni from Spring/Summer 2013.

Picture from Trista's personal Instagram page

Picture from Trista’s personal Instagram page

I was looking for a similar dress, but ended up finding this dress by Patra ($199) that I thought would work well for a vow renewal:

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 6.35.48 PM

Now onto Week Three with Juan Pablo…

The episode kicks off with Chris Harrison bringing the first date card. What was up with his two-tone shirt? I couldn’t decide if I loved it or hated it. Cassandra gets the one-on-one date – her card reads “Love is a wild ride.” They kick off the date by hopping into a Jeep-like car and in true Chitty Chitty Bang Bang style they drive it right into the water! It’s a water car! Who knew?!

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 8.03.11 PM

Cassandra ends up getting a kiss on this date pretty quickly…I guess Camila wasn’t watching this episode…I find it funny that he won’t kiss Renee out of respect for her son, but he has no problem playing tonsil hockey with Cassandra who also has a son. Hmmmmmmm…

For the second part of the date, they go back to Juan Pablo’s place for dinner. They have some dinner, do a little dancing and seem to have a good time. JP gives Cassandra the rose, keeping her around for another week.

Back at the mansion the second date card arrives for Kelly, Renee, Sharleen, Danielle, Alli, Lauren, Andi, Kristie, Lucy and Nikki that says “Let’s kick it.”

They meet up at a soccer stadium so JP can show the girls his soccer moves.

822x

The girls break into teams to play for more time with Juan Pablo. I think the red team won the game but it wasn’t really clear. Juan Pablo decided to take everyone back to the cocktail party to spend some extra time together.

Nikki gets some along time with JP and they seem to have a good conversation. He must really like her, because he didn’t even kiss her and she ended up getting the group date rose. This surprised me because he got pretty hot and heavy with Andi in the kitchen.

They start cueing up the drama back at the mansion and Elise thinks Chelsie is too young and immature to get the next one-on-one date with JP. I find this funny because if you read Reality Steve’s column you can see the nice adult video that Elise has under her belt. But no-no Chelsie is the one that isn’t mom material…go figure. So of course Chelsie gets the final one-on-one date card which reads “Chelsie – do you trust me? -Juan Pablo.”

Sharleen gets some extra special alone time with Juan Pablo on the middle of the soccer field. This would have been fine, but they had sort of an awkward looking first kiss that all of the other girls saw. That always seems to raise tension and puts a target on Sharleen’s back. I don’t know what to think of these two, their conversations always seem awkward and disjointed – I don’t really see the attraction. Also – Sharleen has some great lipstick because it did not move a bit during those kisses! I checked out Sharleen’s Twitter account and she mentioned it was the Cream Lip Stain by Sephora in Always Red ($13). Sharleen’s backless white dress is super sexy. This lace mini Jump dress ($99) is similar:

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 9.04.57 PM

Chelsie gets ready for her one-on-one with JP, much to Elise’s dismay. I like Chelsie, she seems super fun and laid-back. They begin their date with some car dancing followed by an authentic Venezuelan meal. He then takes her to go bungee jumping off a bridge. This seems a little odd to do after eating, but to each their own. Chelsie isn’t sure if she wants to take the leap with JP, but she ends up doing it in the end and they have a great kiss hanging upside down. If this was me I would have told Juan Pablo to take a hike – thanks for the memories – I’m outta here! I never understand that, but it happens every season, they always convince someone to do something that they are afraid of with a complete stranger. I am pretty confident that I wouldn’t even bungee jump with my husband so what makes someone do it with a complete stranger?

For the second part of their date, Chelsie and Juan Pablo have a dinner at City Hall in Pasadena. That was a beautiful setting. I also have to commend Chelsie for not using the word “amazing” and changing it up with “epic.” He gives Chelsie the rose and the two of them are then treated to a private concert by Billy Currington. Chelsie wore a white and black colorblock dress. I found a similar dress from Kensie ($79):

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 9.42.20 PM

The next day, Juan Pablo sneaks in to make the girls a traditional Venezuelan breakfast so he can surprise them and see them with no makeup on. Kelly discovers him first because she has to let Molly outside. Renee just goes for it and starts helping him cook. He announces to the girls that instead of a cocktail party, they are going to hang out all day and have a pool party.

Kat monopolized Juan Pablo for most of the pool party annoying the other girls. I think she was smart, considering she didn’t have a date this week. This especially upset Sharleen and Clare. Sharleen got upset and opened up to JP about it. She got a kiss out of it so that worked for her.

Clare got really jealous and had to be talked out of the bathroom by Renee.

In the end, we make it to the rose ceremony and Christie and Lucy get eliminated. It’s too bad for Lucy, because she looks the best she ever did at this rose ceremony in her Herve Leger Metallic Bandage Dress ($1350). This BCBG MaxAzria Dress ($183.20) is similar:

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 10.30.54 PM

I also liked Kat’s embellished one-shoulder dress from Shoshanna. I found a similar Calvin Klein Beaded Dress ($86.99):

Screen Shot 2014-02-16 at 10.56.09 PM

For this week’s deleted scenes, we forgot about Lucy’s birthday – but Juan Pablo had a special surprise for her:

The ladies get ready for the pool party in this clip:

Renee finds out that JP kissed Sharleen in this clip:

White Collar “Shot Through the Heart” Recap

Neal (Matt Bomer) is still reeling from learning of Rebecca’s (Bridget Regan) betrayal. Peter (Tim DeKay) decides that they should go on like nothing has happened so they have the upper hand. Neal starts to realize that everything this entire season has been orchestrated by Curtis Hagen (Mark Sheppard) and Rebecca and that he played right into their hands.

Peter confides in Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) that he’s not sure Neal can keep up appearances and keep Rebecca busy while the FBI raids her apartment. Elizabeth wears a black blouse and white jeans. I pulled this Joie Marlo Blouse ($218) and these Gap Skimmer Jeans ($69.95) to recreate the look:

Screen Shot 2014-02-08 at 11.17.59 PM

Once Rebecca arrives at Neal’s apartment, Peter starts the team’s raid on her apartment. Unfortunately, one of the agents trips her security system and an alarm on her phone goes off. She tries to leave Neal by making up some excuse about a doctor’s appointment, but he is determined to slow her down. He goes as far as telling her that he loves her to make her stay. Peter is smart and puts Chinese takeout menus at everyone’s doors in the complex so Rebecca thinks that is what tripped her security system.

The team was able to get surveillance in Rebecca’s apartment and end up watching her leave a voice mail on Neal’s phone saying that she loves him too. It looks pretty realistic and the team thinks that she may have really fallen for Neal. He refuses to believe it and wants to cut ties.

Peter decides to see how she will respond to him taking Neal away and brings her in for questioning. He creates a fake story about how Neal is the prime suspect in Curtis Hagen’s death. She takes the bait and tells Neal to meet her in Madison Square Garden. Rebecca starts to tell Neal the truth, but then she notices the FBI team and starts to run. She gets away and leaves the team wondering what her next move is.

WC_511_0019

Peter and Neal go back to investigate her apartment. As they start to get close to a discovery, Neal gets shot at by a sniper/Rebecca. That doesn’t stop him and he ends up finding her go bag of passports, money, etc.

They still don’t have any evidence to hold Rebecca if they catch her, so Peter and Neal try to walk through Siegel’s murder again. The end up coming up with an idea of where she might have tossed the murder weapon. They have to dig up a concrete sidewalk to find the gun she used, but that is all they need to arrest her.

Jones discovers that Rebecca is really Rachel Turner, a former MI5 agent that went rogue. Peter tells Neal to go home and quit beating himself up over this case. He decides to take matters into his own hands and leaves her a message saying that he will trade the blackmail evidence that she has on him for the Mosconi information she wants.

He sets up a meet with Rebecca and is able to destroy the blackmail she has on him. Before she can run the FBI arrives to arrest her.

WC_511_0581

Peter finally admits to Neal that he is moving to Washington in two weeks and that Jones (Sharif Atkins) will be his new handler.

Now that Rebecca has been arrested and Peter is moving to D.C. there is nothing to keep Mozzie (Willie Garson) and Neal from going after the Hope Diamond.

Elizabeth arrives home from D.C. to tell Peter that she got a job at the Washington Gallery and now their move can finally be official. She wears a white blazer and a white and black patterned blouse with black jeans. To recreate this look, I found the Joie Iva Silk blouse ($198) and this Kim Rogers blazer ($39.99):

Screen Shot 2014-02-09 at 12.43.54 AM

Rebecca/Rachel calls Neal from prison and promises to see him soon…

What did you think about this week’s episode of White Collar? Will Neal and Peter really move on? Will Neal and Mozzie find the diamond? What do you think Rebecca will do next?

February Pinspired

Its time for another Pinspired with Shay at MixandMatchMama, Sheaffer at Pinterest Told Me To and Mel at The Larson Lingo. This is a fun challenge to recreate a look from Pinterest.

pinspired2 copy

I’ve know what my Pinspired look for February was going to be ever since I saw this amazing look from Erin at Living in Yellow on Pinterest. I thought this would make the perfect Valentine’s Date outfit, because when else can you wear white?

February Pinspired

What first caught my eye was the shoes (My foot was still healing at this point so I was having heel envy). Who knew they were Mossimo from Target! Super cute, but sold out in red- but that didn’t stop me. You can still get them in different colors at Target, here for about $20. I hunted them down on eBay and you can too, just click here. I found one pair in a 7 here, but you just have to keep checking back until they have your size. I may get the other colors too.

Mossimo

I found two white dresses that I liked at Nordstrom. The first one is an Ellen Tracy Pleated Waist Sheath Dress ($108):

Ellen Tracy

The second one is a Tahari Chain Detail Peplum Sheath Dress ($138):

With the first dress it might be fun to dress it up with this Ily Couture red bubble necklace ($49):

CougarTown “Like a Diamond” Recap

This week on CougarTown Courtney Cox and Matthew Perry have a Friends reunion…and could it have been any more AWESOME? (That’s my Chandler for you).

matteney

I also loved the Friends nod in the opening credits:

Screen Shot 2014-02-02 at 2.24.54 PM

To set up this awesome reunion a few things had to happen, first Jules and Grayson’s (Josh Hopkins) heat gets turned off because Jules went paperless and forgot to pay all of the bills. Because it was so cold, her wedding ring kept falling off. As she is on the phone in the car, her wedding ring falls off and she takes her eyes off the wheel to get it – rear-ending who else but Matthew Perry!

Jules wears a Balmain biker jacket ($933.36) and floral top by Parker ($187). This Calvin Klein faux leather moto jacket ($89.99) is similar and also comes in plus sizes.

Screen Shot 2014-02-02 at 3.00.18 PM

Bobby (Brian Van Holt) gets excited because there is a chance of snow – he gets geared up with a snow suit so he can wake up to a winter wonderland and have a father son snowball fight with Travis (Dan Byrd). Bobby, just come to the Polar Vortex…we have plenty.

We find out that Laurie (Busy Phillips) has a doppelgänger that is getting into high jinks all over town. Ellie (Christa Miller) doesn’t believe this and decides that Laurie has lied about all of her crazy stories and sets out to prove it.

Sam (Matthew Perry) is instantly attracted to Jules and wants to forget the whole accident providing she will go on a date with him (how could she say no with that chemistry?). Since she doesn’t have insurance (because she hasn’t paid the bills) she agrees to the faux date.

mattcourtney

We also learn some interesting facts about Laurie – she was conceived in a hottub, pronounced medically dead at least four times, molested by a dolphin, has a friend with robot arms and another with robot legs just to name a few. We seriously need a Laurie spin off backstory show!

After their date, Sam is so smitten with Jules that he proposes to her in the most amazing flashmob proposal ever with a huge engagement ring! Who could say no to that! Nobody apparently, because Jules accepts his proposal even though she is already married!

Jules wears a comfy cashmere hoodie from Autumn Cashmere ($365). I found a similar hoodie from Under Armour ($59.99):

Screen Shot 2014-02-02 at 3.16.58 PM

Even Laurie and Ellie thought it was an amazing proposal, much to Grayson’s chagrin. Jules decides to have dinner with Sam so she can let him down gently. She does this at Grayson’s bar wearing a sold-out floral dress by Jean Paul Gaultier. I found a similar print dress from Dylan & Rose ($34.30):

Screen Shot 2014-02-02 at 3.44.56 PM

Just as she tries to let Sam down easy, he brings in his entire family to meet her!

In the meantime, Ellie finds a hole in Laurie’s story, bringing the whole web down and making her look bad in front of everyone. So to make up, Ellie finds her doppelgänger to show that she believes Laurie’s crazy stories. Laurie wears a great stonewashed jean jacket from Paige Denim ($144.99).

Screen Shot 2014-02-02 at 3.53.38 PM

Grayson, like the great husband he is, saves Jules by professing his love for Jules and proposing to her in front of everyone. Poor Sam is bummed, but mad that he spent $200,000 on everything (holy crap!). But things work out when Laurie’s doppelgänger steps in and asks him to breakfast. Things are looking up for Sam.

And last but not least, Andy (Ian Gomez) keeps Bobby’s dream alive by making it snow for him with a snow machine! Love it!

What did you think of Courtney and Matt’s reunion?

The Bachelor – Week Two Recap

Week Two of The Bachelor is here! Sunday began with a Behind-the-Scenes special of Monday night’s episode. There wasn’t anything too crazy, but I thought it was cool to see how they set up some of these awesome dates.

Chris Harrison and Juan Pablo crashed some Bachelor viewing parties and it puts my two-person viewing party to shame. Maybe I’ll work on something bigger for the finale. I did feel bad for that poor girl Avery they interviewed at the end who said that The Bachelor shows that love and happiness do really happen. I had to laugh because while I think those things are true, I don’t know if I would use this show as an example of that.

We learn right away that Clare is going to get the first one-on-one Winter Wonderland date. Juan Pablo got to take his daughter, Camila to play in the Winter Wonderland before his date with Clare, which was really sweet. On the drive there Camila mentioned that she likes surprise chocolate (me too Camila…).

The second part of the special showed the women moving into the Bachelor mansion and then we get to see what happened to the women who didn’t get a rose. Sean and Catherine visit Juan to give him some advice (and to promote their upcoming wedding). Then Chris Harrison comes out to explain how the show works for anyone who didn’t know. I LOVED Clare’s white sequin tank! She mentioned on Twitter that her necklace says “Creer” which is the Spanish word for Believe and that it is the Gold Bar necklace by James Michelle ($58). She also has amazing hair – I have hair envy. I also found a similar white sequin tank top from One Hip Mom ($36):

Clare gets the first one-on-one date – the date card reads “Clare – Let’s Chill – Juan Pablo.”

We also get to take an in-depth look at the women who create all the drama in tonight’s episode, Victoria, Lucy, Elise, Amy and Clare. Could Lucy please keep her clothes on for one episode. Spraying herself with the hose was just ridiculous…did we really need to see this ABC? Clare has a touching DVD that her father made before he died for her husband to watch. I hope that she doesn’t show this video to Juan Pablo, but you know that the producers are going to try to ask her show it to him at some point this season.

Now, on to our dates…

Juan Pablo drops by the mansion to pick up Clare for the first one-on-one date. She wears a great sold-out IRO shearling leather jacket. Neiman Marcus has a similar jacket for $395:

JP blindfolds Clare and takes her to the Winter Wonderland – hot tub included! Clare opens up to JP and tells him about her father passing away. She also mentioned why she keeps her necklace – to remind her that there is something out there. It doesn’t take much for JP to give her the rose. Clare sort of reminds me of AshLee Frazier – I feel like she is going to get her heart broken just because she is falling so hard so fast. To close the date, they get a private concert by Josh Krajcik (not sure who he is, but the Internet says he was on the X-Factor). She also gets the first kiss from Juan Pablo.

Back at the house, the second date card comes and reads “Kat – I can feel the electricity – Juan Pablo.” JP picks her up and they jet off in a private plane to Salt Lake City for the Electric Run. For having no idea what she was doing I have to commend Kat for jumping right in and going with the flow. I thought this was a great first date for someone like Kat. Kat gets the rose on this date, so she is safe for next week.

The group date card came for Chelsie, Christie, Kelly, Cassandra, Andi, Renee, Lauren, Alli, Chantal, Nikki, Elise, Victoria, Lucy and it reads “Say Cheese – Juan Pablo.”

The girls arrived at a warehouse for a photo shot for Models & Mutts to raise money for the Best Friends Animal Society. This means that they are all going to have to dress in awkward costumes that they aren’t comfortable with – but with dogs. Elise and Andi are told that they are going to be naked for their photo shoot. I felt bad for them until I read Reality Steve and found out that Elise isn’t really a first grade teacher and she pretty much takes her clothes off all the time (see the link at the bottom of this post to read more about that at Reality Steve). I was impressed that she traded her outfit with Lucy though – that was a genius idea.

According to Andi’s Twitter she wore nude undergarments for her part of the naked photo shoot.

After the photo shoot they move on to the after party at the Watermarke Tower in LA. Cassandra gets some one-on-one time with JP and we discover that she’s a Michigan girl! She also is Rodney Stuckey’s baby mama (for those of you that aren’t from MI he plays for the Pistons) and she is 21 (so young!).

Then the drama begins with Nikki pulling Victoria aside to tell her that she is drunk and needs to slow down. Well – my if my sorority days have taught me anything it is that the more you tell a drunk girl to cool down, the more defiant and drunk she is going to get. She ends up having a meltdown and Renee decides to try to reason with her, but we all know how that turns out.

Kelly ends up getting the group date rose, probably because she had to wear the worst costume during the photo shoot.

The producers get Victoria a hotel room for the night so she can sleep it off. Juan Pablo comes to see her the next morning and she goes home.

Moving on to the cocktail ceremony, Juan Pablo gets to spend some more time with Sharleen, who looked awesome in her Haute Hippie draped dress and Jessica Matrasko Natasha earrings ($195). I found a similar Vince Camuto Dress for $64.99:

I really like Sharleen, I have the feeling that the producers wouldn’t get her to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with. It makes me wonder why she came on this show – maybe she thought it would be good for her career or something.

Cassandra is feeling uncertain about JP’s feelings for her. He reassures her that as soon as he doesn’t feel it he will send her home because she has a son to get back to. My favorites from the cocktail party were Cassandra’s earrings – I LOVED them! I sent her a tweet to ask her where they were from and surprise – they are from Cache! They don’t seem to have them in stock anymore, but I will continue to scour eBay because I want them for myself. I did find this similar pair from Max & Chloe ($125):

I also liked Andi’s Parker magenta tiered dress. It was sold-out so I found this Laundry by Shelli Segal tiered dress ($69.99) that is similar:

I also liked Chelsie’s light blue lace mini dress. I found a similar Kay Unger Metallic Sheath Dress ($450) to recreate it:

At the rose ceremony, Amy L. and Chantal don’t receive roses this week and were sent home.

There were some great deleted scenes of Kat’s date with Juan Pablo – apparently they went on a picnic before they went to the Electric Run.

I enjoy reading Bachelor spoilers and if you are interested in finding out what happens in advance you can check out Reality Steve for more information. He also has great behind the scenes details on which cast-offs are dating and who is going take the final rose this season.
