This past week, I worked The North American Auto Show for one of my clients during the press and industry preview days. I also started teaching again the same week. This meant starting my work day at 5:30 a.m. and not getting home until after 10 p.m. I also took note of the models working the auto show and how they remained flawless in 4-inch stiletto heels which got me thinking about what the best beauty products are to keep you looking fresh after a long day. Here are a few of my favorites:
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($30)
If you could only choose one product to get you through a long day, this is it. Urban Decay’s All Nighter lasts for up to 16 hours and it actually lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep everything in place whether it’s hot, humid or cold.
NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base ($25)
This eyeshadow base is essential to keep your eyeshadow from creasing. It is one of the best products I have ever used. It absolutely changes the way your shadow looks.
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant ($25)
I first learned about this from Michelle Money, and love the smell of it. I’ve definitely noticed a difference using this on those hot summer days – it stays put and keeps you smelling fresh all day long.
Still Standing Spray ($27.99)
If you have a long day, like I did, most times you are standing on your feet…in heels. Still Standing is designed to last for 1.5 – 4 hours (yes you can reapply) and helps to relieve the pain you feel from wearing heels.
Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($30)
I first mentioned these here after I discovered them from Julie Benz. If you’ve had a crazy long day and have to get up and do it all over again, these eye gels are a must have!
Always Clean Wipes-to-Go ($20)
This was another Michelle Money recommendation. I NEVER would have thought to try these on my own. These are great to keep in your purse to freshen up and not just for what you are thinking. You can use them anywhere. They have a nice scent and are perfect to throw in your purse on the go.
Sparkling Soda Shine Mist ($28)
One of my girlfriends swears by shine spray, but I hadn’t been able to find one that didn’t weigh down my super baby fine hair. This one is great and smells nice too. Bonus – it makes your hair pop in pictures.
Dior Fix it ($36)
I first learned about this from my one-on-one tutorial with Dior makeup artist Ricky Wilson. This stuff is amazing because you are priming and concealing at the same time. Plus it is so purse friendly. Ricky recommended making little x’s on your trouble spots and blending. You can also use this as a lip primer to make your color pop.
Boscia Black Charcoal Blotting Linens ($10)
Blotting papers are a must for a long day, especially when you have oily skin like me. They are also infused with black bamboo charcoal to actively purify pores, because if I am working long hours I am probably stressed and prone to breakouts.
Dickinson’s Refreshingly Clean Cleansing Cloths
I know the last thing you want to do after a long day is take off your makeup, but I’ve been told multiple times that sleeping in your makeup is equivalent to seven days of aging! So just use a wipe and take care of your skin! Dickinson’s wipes are all natural so they are gentle on your face plus they have a convenient to-go pack.

I love reading what beauty products other people use! I haven’t had the guts to jump into doing my makeup regularly yet because I just don’t really know how, so lists and tutorials help me find a starting place!
