JoJo and Robby decide to jump off a cliff together, which I guess is a good date activity to do with the professional swimmer. JoJo wore the Becca Sliding Triangle Top ($27.99) and Loop Tie Side Brazilian Bottom ($29.99).

During their dinner date, JoJo wore a sold out Blue Life Gigi Jumper. This Michael Kors Lux Matte Jersey Halter-Neck Wide-Leg Jumpsuit ($140) will recreate the look:

Five on Friday: The Container Store

Last night I attending the opening of the newest Container Store here in Michigan.

It was a lot of fun and the store was SO organized. It gave me some great ideas on where to start. I figured I would share a few of my favorites here:

1. Grey Wrap & Tote Organizer ($19.99)

This is one piece I already own and love! These make organizing all of your gift wrap super easy. I store mine in the top shelf of the closet in our guest room. It makes wrapping gifts a breeze!

What are your favorite Container Store items?

The new Troy, MI Container Store will open on Saturday, September 19 and they partnered with Humble Design to donate 10% of their opening weekend sales. Humble Design partners with local area homeless and abuse shelters to identify families that are emerging from shelters and into low-income housing and provide them with a clean, dignified and welcoming home by re purposing gently used household goods.

Splurge vs. Steal: Dior Split Aviator Sunglasses

I have been jonesing for a pair of aviators this summer and haven’t really found any that I was in love with or that were in my price range. Then I saw these Dior Split Aviator Sunglasses and I was in love. I always try to find unique pieces that I won’t see on anyone else and I think these would be perfect to wear to the next few tailgates. These have been seen on celebrities like Rihanna, Olivia Wilde, and Kendall Jenner.

dior-split-aviators

These Christian Dior Aviators run about $555, so if you aren’t looking to break the bank Jessica Buurman makes a much more affordable version with their Matte Bi-Color Sunglasses for $39.

christian-dior-split-aviators

Both of these have a variety of different colors so you can pick your favorites. You could even get the steal version to try out and see if you like them enough to splurge! These are too fun to pass up!

Do you have a splurge that you want me to find a steal for? Let me know in the comments. Or let me know if you find another steal for the Dior Split Aviator Sunglasses.

BarkBox August 2016 Unboxing

If you decide to treat your pup to their own BarkBox, you can click the link here and use the code “SPORT” to try one for free and Sport gets a free box added on to his account.

august-2016

Before I kick off the review, I have to mention how awesome the BarkBox app is. You can watch the progress of your box and it lists each month’s item so you can quickly and easily reorder it at the BarkBox price. You can also get a sneak peek of what’s coming in the next box.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love a theme and this month’s BarkBox did not disappoint! The theme was “California Droolin'” and it could not have been cuter!

california-droolin

The BarkBox “PUPS” magazine killed me! Too cute!

barkbox

Sport knows these boxes are for him, so he was definitely droolin’ to see what was inside:

sport

1. Tito’s Taco ($14)

For me, this was the highlight of the box. This taco was the cutest thing I have ever seen! There were different layers that were velcroed together and the outside taco shell made a crinkly, crunchy noise. The middle layer had two squeakers hidden in there. Sport killed the squeaker layer, but left the rest intact, so I wish there was a replaceable middle layer I could get to reuse it.

2. Chompin’ Charlie ($9)

Sport loved this little shark and immediately went to town on getting the squeaker out. This toy was such high quality, the stuffing was really nice and it was tightly put together which made the squeaker harder to get to.

chompin-charlie

3. Emerald Pets 12 inch Piggy Twizzie

When I was trying to unwrap this, I accidentally dropped it on the floor and it broke in half. So I ended up giving Sport only half of this at a time. He devoured the first half and then when I gave him the second half a few days later he wasn’t as interested. He may have been full though or not sure how to eat it. I ended up breaking up the second half for him.

4. House of Pups Fish Taco Treats ($6)

These were too adorable with the theme! These little whitefish “taco” treats were shaped like little fishes blending hearty flaxseed, peas, tomato, and cheddar cheese into a chickpea batter. Sport approved!

dsc_0013

5. Honest Love Lamb & Honey Seaside Snacks ($6)

Sport loved these lamb and honey flavored seaside snacks. These are made in the USA and are grain-free biscuits made from a chickpea flour batter, blended with tapioca, flaxseed, and potatoes.

We are thrilled with our first two BarkBoxes and can’t wait to see what’s coming in the September box!

Five on Friday: Back to School for Adults

I’ve seen a ton of back to school articles and posts about what to get your kids to go back to school, but I thought it would be fun to get a few “back to school” items for myself:

1.Ted Baker Magnolia Stripe Tote ($279)

Every kid needs a new backpack to start of the new year. As an adult, I am more interested in a work tote to carry my laptop and notebook to and from work every day. I just fell in love with this tote.

Ted Baker

2. Erin Condren Life Planner ($60)

I love getting a fresh planner every year and my favorite planner over the last few years is Erin Condren’s Life Planner. I love the fun stickers and all of the organization opportunities.

erin-condren

3. Kate Spade Journal ($22)

I use a notepad every day at work and Kate Spade makes it all a little bit more fun.

kate-spade

4. Kate Spade All Occasion Card Set ($30)

One of my goals this year was to be better about sending birthday cards to my close friends. I also thought it would be great to have some on hand for last minute occasions. I loved the idea of this card set and would love to add additional cards to the box.

kate-spade-card-set

5. Louis Vuitton Business Card Holder ($350)

I loved the look of this business card holder. I had a silver Kate Spade holder, but it is SO scratched up now that I need a replacement.

Refresh Your Fall Beauty Routine with Meijer

Disclosure: I received sample products and a gift card from Meijer in exchange for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.

Fall officially starts on September 22nd and I don’t know about you, but I want to spend the next few weeks refreshing my wardrobe and beauty routine. Sort of like a bear hibernating for winter, except I just stock up on beauty products so I don’t have to leave the house. Here are a few things I am stocking up on this fall:

1. Olay Eye Lifting Serum

How many of you use eye cream both in the morning and at night? You may not think its important now, but the habits you create now will keep your skin looking great five years from now. Olay Eye Lifting Serum uses an advanced Amino-Peptide and vitamin complex to plump the eye area and reduce under eye bags.

Olay Eye Lifting Serum

2. Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Renewal Deep Conditioner

One habit to start for fall is a weekly hair treatment. I liked this Pantene 3 Minute Miracle because it was fast and easy. My hair was SO soft afterwards, but I still had great volume. I will definitely be adding this into my weekly routine.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle

3. Yes to Coconut Ultra Light Spray Body Lotion

Who doesn’t love coconut?! Normally coconut oil is a big mess to use as a moisturizer. You have to warm up the oil and then it can be a goopy, greasy mess. Not this Yes to Coconut Spray Body Lotion! It is easy to use and not messy at all. Plus coconut is a great way to keep summer alive during fall and winter. I’ve never used a Yes to product before, but I didn’t realize they have a whole line of coconut products as well as cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, blueberries, and grapefruit.

Yes to coconut

4. L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask and Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips

Every Sunday I have a treatment ritual which includes using a Biore Pore Strip, using my PMD (post coming soon), and following up with a mask. I was excited to try this new clay mask from L’Oreal. It uses eucalyptus to unclog pores and remove impurities. I love a clay mask; I feel like it really gets in there as opposed to a peel off or brightening mask. I have big oily pores that need a weekly deep cleaning!

Loreal Clay Mask

5. Maybelline Color Jolt and L’Oreal Brow Stylist

Fall calls for perfect brows and a bold lip. I really liked the flocked tip applicator for the red lip, it made it easier to put on. I do my brows every day. If I had to cut out most makeup I would keep brows, mascara and lips. Having defined brows ties your whole look together. It is also great when you are in between brow jobs.

Bold Lip and Brow

What new things are you incorporating into your beauty routine this fall?

BarkBox July 2016 Unboxing

For Sport’s one year anniversary, we decided to treat him to a monthly BarkBox. July was our first one and he LOVED it! Each box is themed and this one was “Sherlock Bones.” We were so excited that we pretty much gave him everything right up front. For the next box, we are trying to ration each item out throughout the month. Here are a few of the fun items in July’s box.

July Unboxing2

For some reason Sport knew this box was for him and was going crazy when I was opening it up. I was impressed with all we got for just $20!

Sherlock Bones Box

1. Sojos Good Dog Chicken Pot Pie Treats

These are SO adorable! They are the perfect size for training exercises and are 100% natural. We got the chicken pot pie flavor, but I discovered that they also have shepherd’s pie, peanut butter and jelly, apple dumpling and blueberry cobbler.

Chicken Pot Pie

2. Droolers Whitefish Soft Bites Treats

These are another great option for training treats. These have three Omega-3’s with Droolers patented Chia. Sport loves these and they are almost gone! They also have duck, kangaroo, salmon and turkey flavors. I also didn’t know that dogs liked kangaroo so that’s weird…

Droolers

3. Treat Tin

I was thrilled with the adorable treat tin they sent us. It was the perfect tin for the chicken pot pie treats!

4. Harry Barker Scottie Dog

Sport loved this little plaid scottie dog and tore it apart in under thirty minutes.

5. Old Timer Pocketwatch

This was another good option with a squeaker (a must have for Sport). This was so adorable with the theme! I didn’t get a great picture of this one because Sport didn’t want to wait to destroy it, haha!

PocketWatch

Overall we loved our first BarkBox and can’t wait to see what next month has in store for us!
