Bachelor 21 – Week 3

Never again do we have to hear about Jade and Tanner’s wedding…at least until the Women Tell All. Nick finally sent Liz home in the last episode, but now he has to deal with the consequences. The girls feel like they were being lied to the whole time…or at least for two episodes.

Danielle M. wore a sold out Theory Saida Striped Sweater. This Brooks Brothers Cotton Stripe Crewneck Sweater ($78) is similar:

Sarah wore Jetset Diaries Sunset Bodycon Dress. I found a similar Tadashi Shoji Cap Sleeve Lace Dress ($408) to recreate the look:

Astrid wore the LIKELY Driggs Strapless Dress ($178). I also found this similar Charles Henry Off the Shoulder Woven A-Line Dress ($88) with more sizes:

Raven wore the Stylestalker Sofala Midi Dress ($99). This NSR Floral Lace Slipdress is similar ($78):

Corrine ended up sleeping through the rose ceremony after a scandalous whipped cream show for Nick. She already had a rose though so Nick sent home Lacey, Hailey, and Elizabeth. The next day, a few lucky women are treated to a special group date with The Backstreet Boys! Danielle L. was selected to get serenaded with Nick as part of the date. Corrine is apparently a self-admitted bad dancer and she is still trying to make up for her snoozefest which puts her in the awkward position of not feeling very confident on this date.

Back at the mansion, the one-on-one date card comes and it says “Vanessa, you make me feel like I am floating.”Their zero-gravity date was SO adorable! I would love to do that with my husband. I did feel bad that she got sick at the end though. I loved her black moto jacket during the evening date and found this similar Levi’s Faux Leather Moto Jacket ($150):

The next group date card was for Rachel, Alexis, Astrid, Jamie, Sarah, Brittany, and Dominique and says “I’m done playing the field.” During the group portion of the date, Astrid wore a Kendall & Kylie Stripe Strapless Jumpsuit ($69.30):

While Dominique was self-imploding, Sarah was enjoying her wine with the Kendra Scott Naomi Ring ($130):

Instead of a cocktail party, Nick decided on a pool party. Sarah wore a sold out Show Me Your Mumu Honolulu High Neck Bikini Top in the Strike a Rose pattern. The bikini bottom is still available for $40 and a similar top is available for $46. I found a similar Floral Foliage Bikini Top ($17.90) and bottom ($12.90). She also wore the Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant Necklace ($50):

To be continued…who will stay and who will go? Find out next week…

You’re Invited: Bachelor Viewing Party

If you haven’t figured it out from my blog, I LOVE Bachelor Nation! It is my guilty pleasure to follow all the Bachelor blogs and Twitter updates each season and I love sharing the looks for less.

This year, I was invited to host my own Bachelor viewing party at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak on Monday, January 30, 2017 in honor of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I would love for you to join me for a special screening of The Bachelor on the big screen! The first 30 attendees will receive a rose, we will play Bachelor Bingo to win prizes such as a $100 gift card, and more! There is limited seating so please RSVP by clicking here.

Beauty and the Beast will be in theaters on March 17th, but in the meantime rumor has it that Josh Gad and Luke Evans will host Monday’s episode of The Bachelor. Josh Gad plays Le Fou and Luke Evans plays Gaston in the upcoming movie. I’m crossing my fingers that this week’s date will have a fun Beauty and the Beast crossover like we saw with Chris Soules and Jade Roper on Season 19 (you can relive it here).

Beauty and the Beast might be one of my favorite Disney movies, so a themed date would be awesome – maybe they will go to a library… Since the Beast is cursed with and enchanted rose, I can see lots of overlap with Nick’s roses this week. I just took a peek at the official trailer (there might be a new one on Monday’s episode) and it looks magical!

I hope to see you on Monday night!

Bachelor 21 – Week 2

Week 2 of The Bachelor kicks off with the first group date of the season for Corrine, Vanessa, Sarah, Alexis, Hailey, Lacey, Brittany, Jasmine, Raven, Danielle L., Taylor and Elizabeth W. and the card says “Always a bridesmaid…” The ladies then head off to a raunchy themed wedding photo shoot where Corrine takes off her top and proceeds to make out with Nick, half-naked in front of the other women. Classy.

During the evening portion of the date, Corrine is drunk and can’t stop stealing Nick away from the other women – which of course doesn’t bother anyone. On top of winning the photo challenge, Corrine also wins the group date rose – Nick is definitely drinking the Corinne Kool-aid. Unfortunately, there weren’t any stand out looks during this group date, so I don’t have anything to share with you on that end. If there is something you are interested in let me know!

Back at the mansion, Danielle M. gets the group date rose which says “Our relationship is about to take off.” One of the necklaces is the Pavé Diamond Charm Necklace ($168) from Brooke Worthington:

On the evening date Danielle shared the heartbreaking story of her fiance. She is so sweet, that is an awful ordeal and she must be very brave to come on this show after something like that. She wore a custom made Cavanagh Baker jumpsuit. This Laundry by Shelli Segal Jumpsuit ($148) is similar:

Nick gives Danielle the rose and she is safe until next week.

Meanwhile, the next group date card comes for Christen, Josephine, Astrid, Jamie, Kristina, and Liz saying “We need to talk…” Nick takes the ladies to the Museum of Broken Relationships where he has donated the engagement ring he almost gave to Kaitlyn. The women have to break up with Nick live as part of the date. What is more awkward than the terrible outfits is the breakup between Liz and Nick. It is time to send her home!

The only outfit that I thought was nice was from Kristina. She wore the sold out Lotus Top from Cupcakes and Cashmere. I found a different floral top that would also look great with white shorts and wedges. It is also from Cupcakes and Cashmere, the Tibet Floral Top ($84):

During the evening portion of the date, Nick finally confronts Liz and sends her home. This was definitely the right move as the other women never would have trusted him after they found out. The episode ends on a To Be Continued note and we will have to wait to see how the women react. Do you think anyone will leave?

Bachelor 21 – Week 1

The Bachelor is back and so is Nick Viall for his fourth round on the show! I have to admit that Nick has always been one of my favorites. I loved him on Andi’s season and was so stunned when she picked Josh. I’m glad he’s getting his own turn to do the picking.

Here are some of the fashion highlights from Week 1…

Danielle Lombard has AMAZING hair…seriously hair envy for days! Since she owns a nail salon I bet she hers look impeccable the entire season. In her intro video, she wore this Tularosa Amelia Crop Top ($118) at the beach.

I loved Vanessa Grimaldi’s effortless girl-next-door style with her white off-the-shoulder sweater with black stripes. I found two similar options, a Vince Striped Bouclé Cashmere Sweater ($345) and a Calvin Klein Striped Open Stitch Sweater ($31.33):

Danielle Lombard looked stunning in her black lace plunge gown and Nick definitely noticed! I found a few similar options if you want to recreate the look. There’s this Dress the Population Michelle Sequin Gown ($318) and this ABS Jersey Triangle-Sleeve Gown ($390):

Rachel Lindsay stunned in a sold out red lace one shoulder Mac Duggal gown. This Adrianna Papell Embellished Lace One-Shoulder Gown ($179) is similar:

Hailey Merkt pretty much told Nick that she wasn’t wearing underwear so there’s that. She looked good in her Open-Back Floor-Length Terani Dress ($249), but that’s definitely not how I would make an entrance…

Elizabeth Sandosz was up next an in case you don’t get tired of hearing it in the coming episodes, she previously met Nick at Jade & Tanner’s wedding and they had a one-night stand. Lots of drama to unpack there, but she looked great in her navy blue sequined plunge dress. I found a few similar options to recreate her look; first Dress the Population’s Harper Mermaid Gown ($308), second, Mac Duggal’s Sequin Slit Gown ($338), and third, Ralph Lauren’s Sequin & Jersey Cowl Back Gown ($184).

Corinne Olympios is already turning out to be a polarizing figure this season and definitely our “villian.” As much as she annoys me, I have to admit that she looked stunning on night one in her burgundy plunge number. I found a few options if you want to get her look. This Floor-length Evening Dress ($132.99) which has a burgundy option (not pictured) and this Burgundy Halter Plunge Neck Twist Front Open Back Dress ($20):

Next up is Danielle Maltby who brought Nick some homemade maple syrup. She wore the Conversation Piece Wine Red Backless Maxi Dress from LuLu’s ($74):

Enter Lauren Hussey, who pointed out that together they could be a disgusting hussy (because that’s what you want your new boyfriend to think about the first time he meets you). She did have a classic look including a Badgley Mischka Sequin Cowl Back Halter Gown ($492.99). This LuLu’s Slink and Wink Matte Rose Gold Sequin Maxi Dress ($78) is similar:

Despite Corinne’s stolen kiss, it was Rachel who snagged the first impression rose from Nick. Nick also kissed her which was a little different from Corrine’s kiss which she initiated. Nick decided to let Angela, Briana, Ida Marie, Jasmine B., Lauren, Michelle, Olivia and Susannah go home this week. We are now down to 22 ladies for week two.

Who are your favorites so far?

Bachelorette 11 – Week Six

Continuing from last week, we see Ian’s exit after an insulting conversation with Kaitlyn. I couldn’t believe how full of himself Ian was. What a tool. #ByeFelicia

Nick made a smart move by going to comfort Kaitlyn while the rest of the guys just sat their. Hindsight is 20/20 and Nick has certainly learned a few things on his second time around. Their chemistry is undeniable, I’ve watched this show for a long time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an obvious connection before.

At the rose ceremony Justin and Josh were sent home. I felt a little bad for Josh since his hair got butchered and then he got the boot. Hopefully the first thing he does upon returning home is get a haircut. The guys find out that they are traveling to Dublin, Ireland for the next week and everyone is super excited to get out of the country.

On her ITM Kaitlyn couldn’t be more excited to fall in love in Ireland. For the interview she wore an IRO Biker Jacket ($941.50) and the Brooklyn Designs Aqua Chalcedony Ring. This Textured Knit Moto Jacket from Express ($98) is similar:

IRO biker jacket

First up is the one-on-one date and Kaitlyn chooses Nick, which makes Shawn insane. Kaitlyn and Nick are like two freight trains on a collision course…nobody can come between them at this point. Like I said earlier, their chemistry is undeniable which makes all the other guys uncomfortable. Kaitlyn wore the Blaine Pullover from One Grey Day ($184) and GOLDSIGN Lure Skinny Jeans ($228). This Pullover Sweater with Bar Back ($34) is similar:

One grey day

Kaitlyn is wearing the Robyn Rhodes Claire Oval Silver Druzy Pendant ($54):

Robyn rhodes druzy

Whew! Someone fan off my laptop, because this date with Kaitlyn and Nick is HOTT! These two can’t keep their hands off of each other and I don’t blame them. Nick is coming across really sweet and if I was her I would probably be giving him a rose too. You don’t find that kind of connection everyday. Kaitlyn wore a Knit Turtleneck Dress from Barney’s ($750) and a really cute horn ring from The Woods. To recreate her look I found a Banana Republic Black TurtleNeck Dress ($98) and this House of Harlow Horn Ankolie Ring ($48):

Barneys

For the group date the guys go to a very creepy Irish wake for Kaitlyn. Seeing her in the casket is just creepy. Everyone makes the best of it and has fun. Kaitlyn looks good in a sold out Jean Paul Gaultier Tattoo Lace Dress. This Adrianna Papell Long Sleeve Lace Sheath Dress ($158) is similar:

jean paul gaultier

On the evening portion of the group date Kaitlyn gets some one-on-one time with Ben Z. who had a hard time at the wake. She wore the sold out ALC Mike Tiered Sleeveless Top and the sold out Joseph Zip Pocket Leggings. This Bisou Bisou Sleeveless Tiered Blouse ($12.99) and BB Dakota Judy Faux Leather Legging ($24.99) are similar:

ALC Mike Tiered Top

Her necklaces are Robyn Rhodes Jeremy ($98) worn in the vertical position and Brooklyn Designs Easton:

robyn rhodes

Shawn is having a hard time on this group date and pretty much loses it when Kaitlyn gives Jared the rose and takes him to a private concert with the Cranberries. Shawn reveals that Kaitlyn told him that he was the one in San Antonio and he thinks she is ruining what they have by not picking him for everything…does he not realize that he signed up for The Bachelorette? He is really making this difficult for her. On top of this she is terrified that Shawn knows that she slept with Nick, which I don’t think he does at this point. Kaitlyn is distraught that she has ruined everything in her ITM. Kaitlyn wore the Kiki Designs Angel Wings Ring ($128):

Kiki Designs

What did you think about Kaitlyn sleeping with Nick before the fantasy suite and Shawn losing his mind? Lots of craziness this week and I definitely wouldn’t want to be in Kaitlyn’s position. She is definitely torn between these two guys.

If you missed this episode you can still watch it on iTunes.

Bachelorette 11 – Week Five

We pick up where we left off, with Nick showing up and meeting the guys a.k.a. firing squad. I think he did a pretty good job of explaining himself and his intentions. The guys weren’t happy that he was there and really didn’t want to hear anything he had to say. As they head out for the cocktail party at Citi Field most of the guys are second guessing their relationships with Kaitlyn. This was especially true of Shawn who started calling Nick “the other guy” and told Kaitlyn that he thought she was smarter than that.

I have said this every season, you have to focus on your own relationship instead of the relationships she has with the other guys. If you only get three minutes with her, why would you waste it talking about someone else.

Kaitlyn wore the Parker Sequin Aubrey Dress ($278) at the cocktail party. This Adrianna Papell Short Beaded Dress ($160) is similar:

parker

She ended up giving Nick the rose and letting Ryan, Jonathan and some other guy with no airtime go. She then announces that they are headed off to sunny San Antonio!

As they intro San Antonio, Kaitlyn walks around as the guys share their thoughts about Nick a.k.a. “The Other Guy.” Kaitlyn wears a sold out plaid shirt from Express. This Rails Shirt from Bloomingdale’s ($138) is similar:

express plaid

Ben H. gets the first one-on-one date and he and Kaitlyn enter a two-stepping competition. Kaitlyn wore a Bella Dahl Basic Split Back Button Down Shirt ($145), Cavender’s by Old Gringo Women’s Kilauea Red Snip Toe Western Boots ($169.99) and her Michael Kors Runway Chronograph Watch ($250):

Bella Dahl

On the evening portion of the date, Kaitlyn wore a Crystal Pendant from The Woods ($1300). This Quartz Pendant from Etsy ($26) is similar:

Crystal pendant

Ben is able to open up on their date and Kaitlyn gives him the rose saving him for this week.

Next up is the group date where the guys had to write and perform a Mariachi song for Kaitlyn. Some of them really hit it out of the park, especially Nick who obviously learned from his past group date experiences by just embracing the silliness. Kaitlyn wore a sold out Alexa Chung Pixie Dress with Dan Post Women’s Santa Rosa Western Boot ($119.99). This 7 For All Mankind Trucker Dress ($298) is similar:

Alexa Chung

In her ITM Kaitlyn wore the sold out Parker James top. This Maurice’s Perfect Blouse in mint ($29) is similar:

Parker James

On the evening portion of the group date, Kaitlyn wore a sold out fringe skirt from Intermix. I found a similar Feel the Fringe Skirt ($60):

Intermix

Josh pulls her away for some one-on-one time and in order to demonstrate his trust he asks her to cut his hair. Well this is the exact reason I’m not allowed to cut my husband’s hair – she totally butchered it and now Josh looks ridiculous! You do get a close up of her Gold & Gray Pyrite & Diamond Arrowhead Pendant ($690). This Pave Diamond Agate Arrowhead from Beadspoint ($99) is similar:

Agate pendant

Josh pretty much crashed and burned and led to Kaitlyn giving the group date rose to Nick to show the guys that she was serious about him. This didn’t sit well with Shawn who was next for a one-on-one date. Kaitlyn wore the Aritzia Izabel Romper ($32.50). This Sleeveless Knit Romper from Stem ($58) is similar:

Aritzia Romper

Kaitlyn and Shawn start the date off by kayaking and you get a close up of Kaitlyn’s Robyn Rhodes Franco ring ($55):

Robyn rhodes franco

They kayak down the San Antonio riverwalk and have a nice date followed by Shawn sharing his doubts about “the other guy” again. Kaitlyn wore the Vitamin A Karlie Beaded Bandeau ($95) and Vitamin A Tamarindo Bottom ($65):

Vitamin A

Shawn opens up to Kaitlyn about his feelings and his previous car accident. You can see Kaitlyn’s Porter Lyons Backbone Cuff ($375). This Yochi Lion Head Cuff ($68) is similar:

backbone cuff

Shawn scored the rose and both he and Kaitlyn admitted that they were falling in love…sort of a no-no for her to admit that before the final rose…

Onto the cocktail party, we see that Ian wants to go home because he thinks he is too good for Kaitlyn and the rest of us pretty much think he’s a big tool. Kaitlyn looks stunning in a backless Randi Rahm dress. This Pamella Roland Crepe Draped-Back Gown ($1060) is similar:

Randi Rahm backless

The episode ends with Ian telling Kaitlyn that he thinks she is a surface level person and that he is too good for her. If I were Kaitlyn I would of told him to get the f*** out, but that’s just me. I definitely wouldn’t sit there and listen to that. We’ll see what she ends up telling him next week…To Be Continued…

This week’s deleted scene shows Joshua and Joe struggling with their Mariachi songs:

Bachelorette 11 – Week Four

This week, we pick up where we left off with the Clint standoff. She tries to confront him and then decides to send him home. She definitely made the right decision, he was a total tool. What was really weird was J.J. calling him out to apologize. The whole situation was so odd, I’m not sure what was going on there. Kaitlyn then decides not to have a rose ceremony because she can’t make a decision at the moment.

The guys pack up and head to New York and they are excited to start the next chapter in this crazy journey with Kaitlyn. The first date is a group date with Doug E. Fresh where the guys participate in a rap battle.

bachelorette-03-800

The date gets upstaged when Kaitlyn meets Nick Viall who was strategically planted in the audience. You see, Kaitlyn and Nick had been flirting via social media, text, Snapchat and you name it prior to her starting the show. From her reaction she definitely has the hots for Nick and doesn’t want to leave him in New York. She mentions it to the men on her evening date and none of them have a great response, but that doesn’t stop Kaitlyn. In one scene she feels sick to her stomach telling the guys that Nick is joining the group and in the other scene she can’t wait to make out with him. I think it’s pretty obvious as to what decision she will make. Kaitlyn wears a sold out Phillip Lim Short Dolman-Sleeved Abstract Sweater. I thought this Alfani Dolman-Sleeve Chevron Sweater ($54.99) was a good alternative:

Phillip Lim

Kaitlyn is still feigning confusion so she asks Nick to meet her after her hair appointment. During the phone call she wore a Current/Elliott Slim Boy Button Down Cotton Top ($103). This Treasure & Bond Cotton Plaid Shirt ($78) is similar:

current

Kaitlyn decides to pay a visit to our old friend crazy Ashley S. who is apparently a hairdresser. In a twist she actually gives Kaitlyn some good advice which is promptly ignored by Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn wore a Glamorous Olivia Pullover ($44):

glamorous olivia pullover

Kaitlyn heads out to meet Nick and happily tells him that he can move in the next day. She wore a Free People Hooded Vegan Moto Jacket ($168) and the Betsey Johnson Buffalo Check Lace Infinity Scarf ($16):

moto jacket

It is obvious Kaitlyn and Nick have chemistry…they can’t keep their hands off each other. It gives you a good opportunity to check out Kaitlyn’s Chic Love Triangle Ring from Kiki Designs ($120):

Photo from Kiki Designs

Kaitlyn has to hurry off to her one-on-one date with Jared, but she can’t stop thinking about Nick the whole time. She wears a stunning sheer lace dress with a plunging neckline to The Met for a romantic dinner date. She wore the Galia Lahav Comet dress from the Moonstruck Collection. It looks like you can get it wholesale here for $176.14, but I’m not sure of the quality of that site.

galia lahav

Her date with Jared was very romantic and he scored a rose at the end. Now if only he would shave that weird facial hair. Next up is a group date and we see Kaitlyn wearing a Ribbed High-Low Open Cardigan from Banana Republic ($44.99). This Neiman Marcus Ruffle-Front Ribbed Cardigan ($42.50) is similar:

Banana republic

But first, Kaitlyn needs to tell the guys that Nick is going to move into the house that evening. It doesn’t go over very well, but at least we get a close up of her Peggy Li Swiss Blue Point Necklace ($79):

Peggy Li

On the group date, Kaitlyn and the guys try out for Aladdin on Broadway. I really loved watching this date, as a former theater gal myself it looked like a ton of fun! Chris a.k.a. Cupcake got the one-on-one time for the is date and got to have a guest appearance with Kaitlyn in the live show. Afterwards they got to see the New Year’s Eve ball which was pretty cool. Cupcake gets the rose and lives on for another week.

Back at the house, the guys are anxiously awaiting Nick’s arrival and then the episode ends in another cliffhanger…dun, dun, dun…..until next week.

If you missed this episode you can still watch it here.
