Summer 2019 Favorites

I am living for summer vacation right now! There are so many fun things to see and do this year and I’m just taking it all in. I’ve been spending lots of time with my niece and we’re really hitting that summer bucket list. John and I have also been going to lots of fun events so I’ve had to freshen up my summer look with a few new pieces.

J Crew Striped and Solid Tassel Earrings ($19.99)

I saw this on a random pop up and couldn’t believe how cute they were! I thought they would look perfect with the wrap dress I mention below.

Tory Burch Miller Flip Flop ($198)

I was lucky enough to get these beauties for my birthday and they are 100% worth it! I have been wearing them almost daily!

City Chic Costa Rica One Piece ($65.40)

This is the cutest bathing suit I’ve ever owned. I was really nervous ordering a suit online but was thrilled with the results. I feel really comfortable in this suit and highly recommend it!

Leaf Ring ($14.90)

Another great ring find from Express. I love how dainty it looks!

EMMA Beauty A List I Insist ($9.95)

I am loving this color from EMMA’s South Beach Collection. I was recently introduced to EMMA and I love how they sell the gel together with the regular polish as I like to bring my own colors to the salon or sometimes do them at home.

Navy So Fancy Crochet Fit & Flare Dress ($95)

I got this dress for an event and have ended up wearing it a number of times so far this summer. It is SO flattering and I’ve received tons of compliments on it! It’s now my favorite dress.

Hot Fudge Sundae Candle ($12.50)

I’m a sucker for a chocolate smelling candle! Don’t forget the sprinkles!

Striped Classic Button-up Shirt in Cotton Poplin ($19.50)

What an awesome find! This shirt screams Meghan Markle and I need to get an outfit together STAT!

Shiraleah Carmen Clutch ($48)

I AM OBSESSED! This little clutch is a summer must have!

LOFT Short Sleeve Wrap Dress ($59.99)

I purchased this for an event and have already worn it a ton! It is one of the most versatile dresses I’ve ever owned!

Legend of Lido Rays of Aloe Clutch ($89)

Meghan Markle shared this clutch on her Instagram page in 2016. Legend of Lido was founded by her friend Benita Litt and she’s carried a few of them over the years.

Palm Leaf Kimono ($21.99)

This was a random Amazon purchase that turned out to be amazing! It looks WAY more expensive than it is.

What’s on your summer must-have list?

Find Your Inner Glamour with Glameselle

I’ve been meaning to write this post since Glameselle launched last year, because these products are amazing. But first I want to say how proud and excited I am that my friend, Shannon Lazovski (you may know her from Glamorous Moms) has her own line. This is an amazing accomplishment and she is just going to continue doing amazing things.

Glameselle started with a line of liquid matte lipsticks and has since released a line of luscious lipsticks. You can see the initial launch clip below with the local news station.

As soon as Glameselle launched, I purchased the Sasha Liquid Matte Lipstick, in my favorite bright pink color and wore it out to a holiday party. It stayed on ALL NIGHT LONG and didn’t dry out my lips like many of the other long wear products do. This is because they are infused with Vitamin E and avocado oil to help nourish and condition your lips while you wear the color.

Glameselle Sasha

When Glameselle released their new line of Luscious Lipsticks, I decided to add more to my collection and I purchased the Mara shade and got another Liquid Matte color in Bella.

Glameselle Mara

Each of the lipsticks are named after a strong woman that has inspired Shannon over the years. It’s funny I don’t have a picture of me wearing Bella, because I wear that one almost every day. So much so that I used up my entire tube and had to order another one. When I put in the reorder, I added a tube of Livia to try out. Livia is named after Shannon’s daughter, which is a wonderful tribute.

Glameselle Bella Livia

In the above picture Livia is the top shade and Bella is at the bottom. It’s very rare that I use up an entire color product (not including foundation/skincare) so much so that I have to reorder it. I can name on one hand the items I have done that with, so you know these are great lipsticks. They’ve even inspired me to wear lipstick every day which is something I used to do but had gotten away from.

I can’t wait to collect them all! Next on my list is Adrianna Liquid Matte – a bright red that doesn’t quit. If you are looking for a long wear lipstick that delivers, Glameselle is the real deal. Let me know if you’ve tried it and what colors you’ve tested out.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Living Coral

I have SO much fun writing my Pantone Color of the Year posts each year. I was surprised by the choice of Living Coral this year, but the more I got into it, the more I realized it was just uplifting and actually making me happy thinking about surrounding myself with this color. In today’s world, we could all benefit from a little more joy in our lives.

All of the items below made me happy, so I hope adding them to your collection this year will bring you a little joy too!

4ocean Coral Reef Bracelet ($20)

I’ve talked about 4ocean and their amazing mission in past posts. They have a special edition Coral Reef Bracelet which is the perfect way to honor the real living coral.

The Piña Paws – Dogdana ($25)

You guys know how much I love my Sporty and Sport loves his bandanas! This was too cute and would look darling on our pup!

Kate Spade New York Women’s Bon Voyage Travel Journal ($20)

I adore traveling and this cute travel journal has a pocket for storing all your planning goodies, glue dots for attaching photos and pages with travel phrases, conversions and to-do sheets. This is perfect to plan out your travels this year.

Deny Designs Agate Cutting Board in Coral ($34.99)

I just love the design of the this board and the hubby cannot have enough cutting boards in our cupboards. This would make a darling cheese platter too!

V-Neck Flutter Sleeve Peplum Top ($69.50)

Peplum is the best for work attire! It is flowy and feminine in all the right places. I like the little sleeves attached to this too.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviving Lip Balm ($34)

I’m obsessed with the Dior Addict line of lip wear. I love their lipsticks, balms and glosses. They are so creamy and feel great on your lips, not sticky. In terms of lip color, I feel like coral is the perfect pop of color for a balm.

No Rain No Flowers Cooler Bag ($35)

I haven’t had a cute work lunch bag in a while (and let’s be honest, I could stand to bring my lunch to work more). This would also be adorable for a little picnic.

Swell Birds of Paradise Bottle ($35)

I love water bottles and the Swell ones are so nice. This has a slight hint of ombre to it, which makes me like it even more.

Ronni Nicole Short Sleeve Floral Lace Fit & Flare Dress ($39.88)

Who doesn’t love a fit and flare dress? This would be fantastic for work and I love the femininity of the lace.

Kendra Scott Edie Bracelet ($65)

A Kendra Scott bangle has always been on my list and I love how these are open so they can fit any wrist.

Bobbi Brown Coral Shimmer Blush ($32)

I love a shimmer blush and Bobbi Brown blushes last FOREVER!

Manduka Pro Lite Yoga Mat ($92)

I love my Manduka yoga pat, so this color in Illumination is the perfect way to brighten up your practice.

Kate Spade Sweet & Dry Stemless Wine Glasses ($25.99)

I’ve really taken to stemless wine glasses lately. I love these little novelty sets which are great for the fire pit or for when friends stop by.

Sam Edelman Hazel Pointy Toe Pump ($119.95)

Who doesn’t love a colorful pump? I’m pretty sure I’m working to get a pump in every color haha! I do have a few pairs of Same Edelman pumps that I love.

CND Vinylux in Tropix ($10.50)

This has been one of my favorites for a while and I featured it on my Spring Favorites list in 2014.

BP Circle Clutch ($28)

I could see myself carrying this little clutch all summer long. I love the little wooden ring detail!

Elan Cover-Up Maxi Dress ($68)

This is an ADORABLE cover up! I love how flowy it is and the halter look. Perfect for a day at the beach.

Rubina Beaded Tassel Earrings ($38)

These are the perfect spring/summer accent piece. I’ve been looking for a cute pair of tassel earrings and these fit the bill.

Rubina Beaded Tassel Earrings

If you’ve spotted any Living Coral items let me know, I love this bright, happy color!

You can also check out my post about the 2018 color of the year, Ultra Violet, 2017 color of the year, Greenery, 2016 colors of the year, Rose Quartz & Serenity, 2015 color of the year, Marsala, and the 2014 color of the year, Radiant Orchid.

Just Brush It!

Over the last few weeks I’ve been obsessed with YouTube MUA videos (that’s short for makeup artists which I just learned). Who knew there was so much drama in the MUA community?! I have watched way more videos about it than I care to admit haha! There is a common thread in all of these videos – a very specific set of makeup brushes. Each of the artists seems to have their favorite version but it left me wondering which set to get for myself.

After watching so many makeup videos I am embarrassed at how sad my brush collection is. I probably have about 3 brushes that are nice enough to even share online. This prompted me to try and figure out what set I should invest in for myself. Some of the lines I’ve been looking at have a variety of sets but the others just sell them as individual brushes and you can build your own set with all of your favorites. Here is a list of must-have brushes to start your collection:

  • Foundation Brush
  • Concealer Brush
  • Powder Brush
  • Blush Brush
  • Shadow Brushes
    • Flat
    • Fluffy
    • Dome
  • Small Angled Liner Brush
  • Lip Brush
  • Liquid Liner Brush
  • Brow Brush

I’ve narrowed it down to five brands that I want to start building my collection with:

Smashbox

Smashbox Cosmetics is the OG in cosmetics started by the great-grandsons of Max Factor. I already have their Buildable Foundation Brush which isn’t too bad at $32.

Bobbi Brown

As I’ve mentioned before, I am a huge fan of Michelle Money and her Youtube show the MMandL Show. This was where I was first introduced to Bobbi Brown’s brushes. I have the Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush ($31).

MAC

MAC is probably the beginner brush set for  a good portion of the MUAs online. A good portion started out working at MAC so it makes sense. I have brush 217 – the Synthetic Blending Brush

Sigma

I haven’t used any Sigma brushes, but this is one of the brands the MUAs rave about. Sigma was created in 2009 by a molecular bacteriologist and civil engineer. I need a better brow brush and I hear that E75 Angled Brow Brush is great and you can’t beat the $17 price point.

Morphe

Morphe was created in 2008 and is billed as the company started by MUAs and influencers. They do a ton of collaborations with prominent influencers. Their Bling Set ($49) would be a great way to start your collection.

Fall 2018 Favorites

I’m really not ready for fall this year, I was just starting to get into the swing of summer and really enjoy it and BOOM fall. One of my mottos is Fake it Till You Make it which applies here so I will just start talking about fall and getting all my fall items and then the excitement will follow. I already have a few easy favorites to share with you on my annual list.

Fergalicious Rattle Peep Toe Bootie ($44.99)

I had a similar pair on my year last year but never ended up getting them. I bit the bullet and bought these and they are SO cute! I have a really wide width and have a hard time finding shoes to fit when they encase your whole foot, but these work really well. They are a great transition from sandals and wedges into fall.

CND Dreamcatcher ($10.50)

I’m loving this new color from the CND Wild Earth Collection. It’s a fun purpley pink color.

Twist Back Sweater ($54.99)

I love the sexy twist detail on this sweater for fall. It’s like the mullet of sweaters – business in the front and party in the back.

Pumpkin Coconut Candle ($24.50)

This is a Bath & Body Works online exclusive, but talk about a great transition from summer to fall! the fragrance includes Spiced Pumpkin, Toasted Coconut, Creamy Vanilla, and Sea Salted Caramel.

The Jean Jacket in Pinter Wash ($118)

I’m not sure how I don’t already have a jean jacket, but ever since I saw this one on Meghan Markle, I had to have it. It’s a great way to take those summer dress and tanks into fall.

Thea Lace Chandeliers ($49)

These caught my eye the first time I saw them, so elegant. They also have a matching cuff.

Calvin Klein Bell-Sleeve Sheath Dress ($100.50)

I came across this while running through the mall the other day and WOW! I tried it on and it is now on my fall wish list. The color is fantastic. Lately, I’ve been having a love affair with Calvin Klein dresses, they are so stylish.

Exuberate Slingback Pumps ($69.99)

Another great shoe for transitions, I am loving the detail on this slingback!

Pumpkin 24K Gold Sheet Mask ($8)

Pumpkin and gold in one mask? Where do I sign up?

Charlie Carryall 28 In Signature Rose Print ($295)

This is so me! I love anything with a feminine detail and these flowers just make the bag!

Addy Versatile Poncho ($89)

Who knew Stella and Dot had clothing? I am living for this poncho that you can also turn into a cardigan! When I saw that I couldn’t believe it – two pieces in one has my vote!

Lily Knit Back Midi Coat ($125)

I am loving the idea of a camel coat for fall and I like the oversized look of this one. This is one piece I don’t already have and think it could be really versatile.

Sexual Chocolate

This really is the perfect fall wine.

Boone Cocktail Ring ($75)

I am obsessed with this Kendra Scott ring! I have tried it on twice and can’t wait to get it!

Drink Up Witches Stemless Wine Glass ($1.99)

I’m already getting into the Halloween spirit and thought it would be fun to enjoy my wine in one of these cute glasses.

Expert in Your Zeal A-Line Dress in Plaid ($79)

I love wearing dresses and hate wearing pants, so I love fall dresses that you can add a pair of tights or leggings too. This would look really cute with my new booties too!

What’s on your list for fall?

You can stock up on all my previous fall favorites for 2017201620152014, and 2013 if you want to take a look back.

Shop Natural with Cream Blends

I love finding and supporting local gems whenever possible and I was happy to finally get into Cream Blends‘ store in downtown Royal Oak. The owners Yolanda and Rick Williams started the company out of their kitchen about five years ago and it has been growing ever since.

The products at Cream Blends are made with natural ingredients like shea butter, almond oil, grapeseed oil, Vitamin E, and coconut oil. There are a variety of amazing products available like bath bombs, body butters, lip balm, scrubs, oils, candles and soaps. I tried the Vanilla Body Butter and the Oatmeal Honey Bath Bomb.

I LOVE the body butter – it is so decadent and lasts forever. You need a very small amount to cover your whole body. Cream Blends shared this usage guide which is helpful to know how much product to use.

I especially love using the body butter on my feet and heels, you can absolutely see the difference in results versus using a regular lotion. Shea butter has a number of natural healing properties due to all the Vitamin A and E in its makeup. I’m ready get back in the store and try some of the other products like the body scrub!

Since they opened their store, Cream Blends has hosted a number of fun events like a body scrub workshop, a mini boss camp for girls, a flower arranging workshop and more! I can’t wait to see how they continue growing!

Have you tried Cream Blends yet? What is your favorite scent?

Repair Your Hair with Olaplex

I’ve mentioned my tragically thin hair many times here on the blog and over the past few years have gone on quite the journey to repair it. As you may have noticed, I used to wear extensions every day for a few years (which I loved and gave me the hair I always dreamed of) and I also used WEN for a long time, which if you want to look it up was involved in a class action lawsuit for people’s hair actually falling out. I remember about mid way into my extension journey some coworkers wanted to see what I looked like without my extensions and I took a picture for them. I was horrified. I couldn’t believe how little hair I actually had left. I took this picture in 2015 and am sharing it so you can see the difference. Even looking at it now makes me want to cry at how damaged my hair was…I am practically bald!

After that picture, I decided to start slowly taking out my extensions. Every six weeks I would take out a weft so it looked more gradual. I also was doing a number of other things to help grow my hair:

  1. Taking Biotin
  2. Taking Prenatal vitamins
  3. Stopped using the round brush
  4. Stopped using heat to blow dry my hair (I use the coldest setting possible)
  5. Switched my part every six weeks

A few months ago I was visiting my sister (who has a cosmetology license) after getting my hair done and she asked me if my hair dresser was using heat on my hair when I got it highlighted (she was) and she suggested that I was going too blonde which is why my hair wasn’t growing. I started thinking about it and doing some research. Other women go blonde all the time and don’t have problems, but if you compare pictures of me from college (when I could only afford to get my hair done every six months on my bday and Christmas) it had a lot more length and thickness. So I stumbled across this article from Marie Claire and this one and a few other ones (which I can’t find again unfortunately) and heard the word Olaplex. I had never heard of Olaplex before and was intrigued! Apparently all the celebrities had been using it for years to go blonde and not kill their hair.

You can also follow Justin Anderson on Instagram as he shares all the celebrities he uses Olaplex on including, Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Kristina Schulman, Lauren Bushnell, Kristin Cavallari and so many others.

Right about the time I was discovering this, Olaplex came out with some at home treatments that I could try on my hair. They have an intensive treatment that you can use after coloring and about once a week and a shampoo and conditioner that you can use every day at home. Now I haven’t been using these long enough to give you a comprehensive “after” picture, but I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair and I finally feel like I’m going in the right direction. I wanted to try the at home treatments first before I invested in the salon treatments to bring to my stylist. Once I start doing that I feel like we will see an even bigger difference. At my last hair appointment I also stopped going under the dryer when I get my highlights.

Even better news is that Olaplex is now carried at Sephora so you can get the Hair Perfector ($28), Bond Maintenance Shampoo ($28) and Bond Maintenance Conditioner ($28) right at your local store or online. AND you can earn points at the same time…win-win. Olaplex actually REBUILDS the damage in your hair and makes it better. I have never found anything that gave me better results. If you can use the Hair Perfector overnight that yields the best results, especially with hair like mine. I try to do this when I can on a Sunday night and wash it out Monday morning. As you can see in this picture my hair looks a lot better than it did in 2015. This has a lot to do with the list above and I hope to have an even better picture after amping up my Olaplex use. In this picture I had just started using the Olaplex Hair Perfector.

Have you had experience rebuilding your hair? I would love to hear your success stories! Next on my list will be investing in the Olaplex 1 and 2 treatments for my stylist.

Brighten Your Smile with Carbon Coco

Disclosure: I received sample products from Carbon Coco in exchange for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.

What if I told you that you could whiten your teeth by completely covering them in charcoal? Sounds gross, right? Well that’s exactly what I did with Carbon Coco and I was surprised by the results. Before I get into that, I wanted to give you a little background on my teeth. In 2014, my dentist told me that I had been grinding my teeth at night which caused tiny little fractures. This made my teeth SO sensitive to everything. I have to wear a mouth guard every night now to prevent more damage. One of the side effects of grinding is that it can start to yellow your teeth, but I was hesitant to use any whitening options because they were too strong for my sensitive teeth. Enter Carbon Coco.

Carbon Coco uses activated charcoal to remove toxins, stains, and plaque from your teeth through a process called adsorption, in which the charcoal binds with these particles and flushes them out. The only thing I knew about activated charcoal was that they use it in hospitals to pump people’s stomachs when they overdose so I did a little research. Carbon Coco’s charcoal is made from 100% certified organic coconut shell charcoal. What makes it “activated” is how it’s processed, with high heat making it more porous than regular charcoal. Activated charcoal has a negative electric charge so it can attract toxins and gases with a positive electric charge. Charcoal cannot be absorbed by the human body, so if you accidentally swallow some, your body will just pass it through.

Before you try just any activated charcoal on your teeth, remember that all charcoal products are not created equal. I mentioned above that my teeth are extremely sensitive so I have to be careful not to do any further damage to them. The FDA uses a scale called Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) which measures abrasiveness in all FDA approved dental products. They recommend a score of 200 or below on the scale. I found it interesting that most whitening toothpastes score between 100 to 200 RDA, but Carbon Coco’s toothpaste is 60 RDA and the tooth polish is 68 RDA. This struck a chord with me as being a great whitening option for my sensitive teeth.

With all my questions answered, I was ready to try out Carbon Coco. I’m glad I read some reviews before I did because it is MESSY! They recommend you do this at night, but someone suggested to do this in the shower and boy I’m glad I took that advice. I dipped the toothbrush into the tooth polish powder, popped it in my mouth, hopped in the shower and started brushing. When I spit it out and rinsed, it was so easy to pull the shower head down and rinse the mess down the drain. Then I followed up with the activated charcoal toothpaste and finished my shower.

I wasn’t expecting too much, but to my surprise my teeth were noticeably whiter and brighter! I was thrilled with the results and will definitely use this again. I will probably treat this like a face mask or something I do to get ready for a big occasion or photo op. It added a little extra time to my routine, but not much.

Have you tried Carbon Coco? I would love to hear about your results in the comments.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Ultra Violet

“We are living in a time that requires inventiveness and imagination. It is this kind of creative inspiration that is indigenous to PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, a blue-based purple that takes our awareness and potential to a higher level. From exploring new technologies and the greater galaxy, to artistic expression and spiritual reflection, intuitive Ultra Violet lights the way to what is yet to come.”

-Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute

I am so excited about Pantone’s choice for the 2018 color of the year! I can have a lot of fun with Ultra Violet.

I love that Ultra Violet stands for non-conformity and has been associated with mindfulness practices. I may have to incorporate it in my Miracle Morning meditation. The New York Times also wrote a great overview on how we’ve already incorporated this color into our lives. Here are a few ways to incorporate Ultra Violet into your environment:

Salame Jewelry Designs Amethyst Lariat Necklace ($98)

This amethyst necklace set is stunning. Did you know that the Greeks believed that amethysts could protect them from intoxication? Something to think about for your next night on the town.

Fold-Over Card Holder ($16.90)

This is nice if you just want to incorporate some purple into your wardrobe but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a new bag.

Dot Grid Bullet Journal ($16)

This would be a great journal for The Miracle Morning!

Sam Edelman Women’s Hazel Suede High Heel Pumps ($72)

I love this color and the idea of pairing these with an all black outfit for a pop of color.

Farberware Colorvive Cookie Pan ($11.99)

After going nuts with Christmas cookies last month, I realized that I could use some new cookie sheets and this is so fun!

MAC Parfait Amour Eyeshadow ($16)

This is one of my favorite eyeshadow colors for a night out on the town. Just a little on the eyelid takes it up a notch.

Anne Klein Jacquard Fit & Flare Dress ($88.99)

This is one of my favorite cuts and it just looks so stunning with the color!

Quartz Bottle Stopper ($12.99)

These are always necessary when you need to keep your champagne chilled in between pours.

Bright Solids Sherpa Decorative Throw Blanket ($22.22)

I like the idea of a throw because you can change up any look easily depending on your mood. I am a firm believer that you can never have enough throws.

OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? ($10.50)

Purple is so fun, especially for the summer months. You can also find the gel version here.

Manduka Pro Lite Yoga Mat ($82)

I love my Manduka mat – it is absolutely worth the price in my opinion. Mine is a teal color and I wish they would have had this color when I bought it.

INC Mock-Neck Cutout Sheer-Sleeve Sweater ($69.50)

I love all the fun details of this sweater – the cut outs, the sleeves, the color.

Gold Dipped Amethyst Cluster ($22)

How perfect is this little gem? All you have to do is mist the plant every now and then and that’s it. I could probably get away without killing this one.

Michael Kors Sadie Large Top-Zip Satchel ($238.80)

I love the detail on this bag. I also love a purple handbag, I carried the last one I had until it literally was no more.

Ray-Ban Original Aviators ($178)

These would be so great for summer! How have I not purchased a pair of aviators yet?

Keyhole Ruffle-Sleeve Sweater ($35.99)

I was trying to wrap this post up when I stumbled across this, which I know is similar to the first one, but I still love them both!

Have you spotted any Ultra Violet items that I should add?

You can also check out my post about the 2017 color of the year, Greenery, 2016 colors of the year, Rose Quartz & Serenity, 2015 color of the year, Marsala, and the 2014 color of the year, Radiant Orchid.

Winter 2018 Favorites

Ladies, I have all the things to help you get through the winter tundra and into spring. If we can’t get to a warmer climate, we can at least snuggle up with cozy materials and pamper ourselves until the sun comes out again. Here are my current winter favorites.

Rib Trim Pocket Open Cardigan ($54.99)

I am OBSESSED with this cardigan and if you come to my house you can catch me wearing it 24/7. This was a Black Friday purchase and it is even better than the one I got last year because it has pockets and it is SO cozy! You can hibernate in it all winter long.

CND Vinylux in Winter Glow ($10.50)

My cousin wore this to a Christmas event and I just loved it! It’s a perfect color for the professional woman (she’s a lawyer). You can get the Shellac version here.

Crochet Inset Heel Boots ($34.79)

In the winter, I transition many of my everyday dresses to winter wear with tights and boots. I have one pair of nice dress boots that I wear all the time and definitely need another pair so they don’t get worn out from trudging through the snow. I thought these boots with the inset were so cute!

Saltopia Himalayan Salt Lamp ($39.95)

John and I got one of these for our bedroom. They are known to have therapeutic benefits for colds, skin problems, respiratory issues, headaches, mental health disorders and more. There is a light inside the lamp that which heats up the salt crystals so they attract the water molecules in the air to form a NaCl and H20 solution. Long story short, they create a negative ion which seeks out positive ions like dust or bacteria to clear it from the air.

Shimmer Tie Cuff Sweater ($44.99)

This was also a Black Friday purchase and it is so cute and comfy. The sleeves add a nice touch and it is easy to wear.

CND Cucumber Heel Therapy ($49.90)

I’m always on the hunt for the best foot cream and apparently I’ve been missing out on one of the best. But it doesn’t surprise me that it’s from CND. If you apply this every evening to your dry, cracked heels you won’t believe how fast the calluses disappear! Foot cream is my jam in the winter so you are ready to slip your feet into sandals the moment the weather changes.

Ruffle Arm Warmer ($20.99)

These were also a Black Friday purchase, but they had them in a camel color. I actually am a little bummed they didn’t have them in the pink because I would have gotten those instead. I’ve received lots of compliments on these.

Thro Pattie Pineapple Throw ($23.99)

My cousin gifted this to me as a hostess gift when she stayed with us over the summer. I am in love with it! I love all things pineapple and this throw is so soft and cozy… Sport is currently trying to steal it from me.

Pearlized Button Slit Cuff Sweater Dress ($119.99)

I’m sort of obsessed with sleeves right now and I love the feminine sleeves on this dress. Plus purple is so fun for winter.

LAURA MERCIER Crème Brûlée Honey Bath ($45)

I’m really into bubble baths lately but I need hot water and LOTS of bubbles. I also need it to smell divine. Winter is the perfect time for hibernating in a luxurious creme brulee bubble bath to moisturize your skin. You can follow your bath up with the accompanying creme brulee souffle body creme.

Ribbon Woven Tassel Necklace ($60)

I love this whole look! I’ve been looking a long silver necklace to go with dresses, tunics and sweaters. This is so edgy and would be fun to wear for a variety of different occasions.

Campfire Donut Candle ($10)

I used this during the holidays and loved the smell. You know it’s going to be good when donut is in the name!

What are your favorite things for winter?
